@@lildumpling9064 that won’t work. The flower is what makes it a dough consistency. If you used sugar instead, there would only be sugar, water and brown sugar in the recipe. 🤍✨

i really enjoy these videos! - as a Bay Area resident married to a chinese spouse this helps with picking good spots that my wife loves. i would highly highly recommend doing a review of food spots in Richmond, BC. Chinese and asian cuisine in general doesn’t really get much better than there (at least in north america).

Ahhh, in Fremont there used to be a boba shop called 'One Tea' and they had mochi balls as a topping option and it was always sooooo gooood with strawberry milk tea. There's a chewiness to them that you can't get from boba (and it was never too soft or too hard). I'm so sad one tea is closed (sobbing). I can't wait to try your version! Hehe. Please remember flour has to be cooked before eating. As someone else commented it might be good to bake the flour itself first and then use it but I'm not too sure if it would cook enough getting boiled. Probably wouldn't be the best to use as boba.

That's wheat flour you're thinking of. Rice flour is very different, especially this type.

So i wanna help you a little bit, i really love your videos and i decided to tell you how i do my own boba, All you need is tapioca starch it's on you how much you put, put it in your bowl and put cocoa in it for color, add your sugar put as much as you want i put in 1 cup of tapioca starch and 2tbs of sugar or a little more, then you put hot water in but a little at a time till it forms a dough don't make it too wet if it's wet put more starch, when the dough it's done just make them into balls and put them back in the bowl where you made the dough , put tapioca starch in the bowl so it doesn't stick together after you are done making the balls make sure that there is no starch left if there is sift the balls so there is no more starch , boil your water and put them in don't forget to mix it so it doesn't stick , when they rise to the top lower your temperature and put a lid on , cook it for about 5 more min, in the mean time paper a bowl with cold water put some ice too if you feel like it , it will make it chewy but don't let them in there for toooooo long taste it if it's chewy enough for you , then just drain it ? If i can say it like that Now the syrup if you wanna be lazy just mix hot water with sugar but not too much water cuz we want it thick but i recommend using a sauce pan and boil 1/3 cup of sugar and and 1/4 cup of water but do it by eye cuz you will boil it till it thickens after that just put the boba in and you're done :) i hope it will taste good , hope you will try it 😗✌️ and if you feel lazy don't make balls out of them just cuz it and boil it cuz no one will notice anyways 😂 ily ❤️
@elinkapham7012 жыл бұрын
Also make sure it's hot , boil the water twice if you aren't sure if it's hot enough cuz it can end up breaking or it will form the thing that is called oobleck? Or what is it😂
