As one of the OGs for this series back in late 2014, I absolutely love this and I noticed immediately that it isn't exactly the same, it has that similar formula we got the OG editing, tray speech font, grim barks, and the cinematic shots but we also got new things like a bit of character telling, the recipe pop-ups, and even the way Dan speaks or narrates like maybe it was just me but his voice definitely sounded different when we were in first person inside that glass box and honestly I'm all for it. It has the same core that we all loved but with new slight additions to make it feel modern and it's a wonderful added charm

Dan, thank you so much for this. This is the best thing that has happened to me in a long time. These past few months have been really hard for me, and seeing this is like seeing through a window of time in my life when things were perfect. I remember when I was in the single digits, not even ten yet, I watched your mod showcases. It was a rare event, but my dad sat me on his lap and we watched your videos together about once a month. I miss him so much. Dan, you might just seem like a fun guy or just a popular person to most. But to me, you’re my hero. I believe the reason that the villagers don’t have eyes is because of the Fresh Animations texture pack, since it actually removes the eyes off of the original texture. Removing the eyes makes it easier to simulate blinking with the textures. 2:06

It’s been eight years since he made the video on April 1, 2016, that’s when he stopped but on September 22 2024, he finally did it our dreams come true the good childhood everybody has from DanTDM. I love this. It's putting all the technical fluff to the side and immediately shows the viewer the results of a mod without the overall video sounding and acting like a speedrun, whilst using puppets to address the mod to the viewer without breaking character or immersion. lt hooks the viewer towards the result, then delicately introduce and describe the entire mod in short simple detail like it was a college essay. It mimics the spirit of the second gen Community without completely reverting to those old awkward forms of KZbin content. It really makes Minecraft feel indie again.
