Going with pressurized CO2 would likely be way more dangerous as he'd need a very large pressure tank and a huge quick release valve. If that pressure tank failed, it would not be fun. Here the gas is only pressurized during the explosion and it has so many escape holes that there's really no way to actually get hurt by an exploding pressure vessel.

@jaredlancaster413710 сағат бұрын
@@almc8445 "smart" is the overstatement of the century, but such is marketing. The air restrictor is a little valve with one moving part and one spring that sits in the back of the chamber and is pushed open by the back of the dart. When you shoot the nerf gun, the dart only moves like 1/2" before the valve basically shuts off air. Less bulky than syringes, probably about the same cost if you 3d printed the valves and bought the springs.

Strangely I think a "Nerf Nuke" wouldn't strictly require the nuke to launch anything. I would make a "Nerf Nuke" something like a timer that has to be stopped before it reaches zero, or the side that deployed it wins. No need to launch darts, it's an auto-win. Having said that, it does make sense to have it launch darts for the sake of flair. Also you can justify a Nerf Bomb that launches darts as a measure in a Nerf War.
@Ranstone17 сағат бұрын
Imagine trying to deactivate the nerf nuke while you and your team are 4 feet from it with 100 darts staring you down... Imagine the suspense!!!
@papasivir424116 сағат бұрын
That sounds like a Nerf bomb LOL perhaps make it to where the timer begins once a team has been able to activate the nuke giving the other team a small amount of time to deactivate it. You can create your own requirements. Call of duty rules where if somebody has gotten 25 kills without dying (would likely have to be across matches) then they get to utilize the nuke. You could make it a game mode called something like cold war. Or MAD. Cold war could be something like the first side to earn the nuke wins and then the enemy team has to get blasted with it and then. MAD could be both sides get a nuke and each nuke is on a timer and both teams are trying to defuse the other team's nuke and if nobody defuses a nuke in time then they both go off mutually destroying both teams. This would be sort of your tie condition.
@FhtagnCthulhu4 сағат бұрын
I mean, that could be closer to the original sketch. If you watch the original WKUK sketch, they never actually launch the thing. A kid buys one and the rest of the skit is about deterrence and mutually assured destruction. But that wouldn't be as fun to build.

Okay, hear me out. Regarding the "test chamber" with the flash cotton and syringe tubes. What if you made a slightly more advanced version of that, like having more tubes, a sturdier case for the chamber, as well as a sturdy, flat bottom piece that the chamber can screw onto, and a "pressure-plate" trigger on the top that has the battery on the other end of it, but isn't in the chamber with the flash cotton, but instead, a separate smaller chamber (we'll call it the protection chamber) directly above the main chamber to protect the battery from the combustion of the flash paper, but still close enough that the shape of is barely changed. This way, we can have copper wires run between the protection chamber and the main chamber, and also finding a way to easily make it air-tight, so that when the pin is stepped on, the battery makes contact with the copper wires that act as the igniter for the flash cotton, thus making, a Nerf Landmine. Of course, glue should still be used if need be to assist with the "air-tight" portion of the design.

What you need is a stopper that has a latch that will release once the dart has fully (or almost) the tube. That way, once the dart is out, the gases will be forced to go to another tube. Make sure you have a release valve for this for when all darts are exited though.

I'm sad logitech's new products are rubbish, especially their "AI subscription" mouse, which genuinely feels like a delayed april fools joke to make fun on this nonsense. I was kinda shocked when i found out that they were serious. And their HTPC keyboards nowadays suck. The K400 Plus we have in the living room is rubbish. Made from wobbly cheap plastics and the cheap feeling trackpad constantly misinterpreting inputs. The range is barely enough, because of the micro receiver dongle, which is so tiny, my wife had to pull it out from the USB plug, because my finger nails were too short. It costs 70€ but feels like a 20€ product. We had the K830 before, which our cat broke a few months ago. Proper aluminium HTPC keyboard with illuminated keys, good trackpad and 10m range. Logitech discontinued this too. They only produce overpriced low end crap nowadays to milk their brand name and forever destroy their reputation. Who is making these decisions? Sorry about the rant, but it genuinely frustrating watching all the corporations shooting themselves in the knee with bad leadership and poor decision making. Exactly what I was going to comment, beet me to it😅. Doesn't get it yet, I think it's just man brain 🧠. I was the same for a while until the kid started to roll over and move around it was moms toy, also sleep depression doesn't help. Moms are in automode for a month or so manbrain is probably also some sort of responsibilitie avoidense self preservation thing.

i mean...he didn't have it be a parasite for 9 months, then go through the agony of his uterus squeezing as hard as humanly possible for several hours before pushing it out of a orifice that is not the ideal size for it, so much so it causes tearing a lot of the time, his body is not forever changed as a result and he will not have any body dysmorphia related to the toll that pregnancy took (which...if you are a man and reading this you should know that your partner absolutely needs to be reassured you think they're beautiful and you are there to support whatever journey they are on with their body, if you aren't willing to do that or try to impose changes or judgement of their body after they MADE A HUMAN BEING...you're garbage, there is no other word for it, you're trash) he HAS a baby now but he did not HAVE a baby, he is responsible for half the dough but he did not bake the bread and pull it out the oven it is super important to understand that men (myself included) will never know what that is like, and as such should not be comparing anything (like kidney stones) to childbirth...or...making legal decisions regarding thank you for coming to my TED talk on how a man should be viewing a pregnancy...cuz ya know...we're not seahorses and shouldn't act like it
