Welcome to the Source of the Nile. The River Nile is the longest river in the world. It starts its 6,650km (4,130 miles) journey from Lake Victoria beside Jinja town in Uganda to the Mediterranean Sea in Egypt. In Uganda, the Nile holds the Owen Falls Dam, Uganda's only source of hydro electricity.
