There’s no need to have any shame. My realization when I felt similar to you here in this video is that it’s important to have fun in the money making otherwise you won't feel good as you do it or when you acquire a lot of it. Try to see that money is a game... in a way humans don’t need money to live a good life as we didn’t have that before, so you can have fun with it.

This is truth. I've recently got this thought, i could not resonate more with this. Since i was a kid i loved photography. I completely forgot that passion, got involved in business that made me thousands of dollars. My ego only got bigger and i got empty. Now, im doing photography, video and got back to surfing and skating, im really fullfiled. Thank you Arlin, been following you since the early days, you rock.

Been watching you on and off since your boston college videos when I was also in uni at the time. I can relate to your journey. I have made a lot of money in the internet marketing space. Entrepreneurship is one hell of a rollercoaster. The periods when I was making the most money are when I was the most miserable internally. Everything you thought you wanted and valued, turns out to be not the answer once you get it. That's when things can get dark, but when also when your "why" can change. A quiet mind is what I chase now. Best of luck on your new chapter brother!

such a great video Arlin, this month I just hit a financial goal in my business and it made me missarable, I could keep up the number and make that money but honestly for me it was just a thing I wanted to see if I can achieve, now my next goal is to scale back just make enough to cover expenses and focus on my passion which is content creation and youtube. Ironically I think it will actually make me more money if I don't focus on money rather on impact

True bro. One thing i didnt mention is when i first started my channel - i would only focus on sales & biz stuff like 3 days a month. And at times i would go 6 months just putting great videos out there asking for nothing in return. And that’s how i really grew.

This was a banger bro it’s really cool to see you come full circle and at least you are honest with yourself being there for the BU vlogs and the start of your pod with Jackson to now I admire your awareness and desire to “try” I’ve been pondering this same idea of what actually matters as I am 23 now this was a hitter I remember years ago using your Mac miller video for my college comp paper lol you’ve always been an inspiration to me stay true to yourself brother !

I'm resonating with this so much. At the beginning of this year I was so focused on travelling and making money and looking cool and proving to everybody that I could be a young travel hoe entrepreneur as well but I just started feeling miserable. I booked a super spontaneous trip beginning of April and everything came just crushing down during those three weeks as my business almost failed and I ran out of money and had to move back home. But alongside with that I realized that I just wasn't aligned with what I truly should do, I didn't want to be part of this entire online space where it's all about outcompeting each other on who has more money and who lives a cooler life, I just want to create something real and help people genuinely build sick connections, that was the entire reason why I started my business in the first place. Even tho materialistically I'm in a really bad spot, I'm more aligned and in touch with God now going through this phase realizing that I was just playing pretend. I was running from a lot of stuff and had a lot of inner work to catch up on that I didn't realize I needed. This video resonated with me, keep it up man! Btw, I love the alignment stuff that you put into Tribe, came right at the right time for me to help me through my problems

Arlin, I kinda tuned out over the past year because of the image you were trying to build. I could sense that it was forced. Don't get me wrong you have great ideas with Maxi and I'm in full support of that whole route but 100% money can get you places you want to be and build security but its not everything. I am a Psych major/finace and its amazing how clear it is to see these guys with millions in the bank trying to overcompensate for their miserable lives, who have little actual connections with other humans. Money is great, money makes the world go round but once it becomes an obsession you lose sight of relatity and what life really means. (This is all my opinion yall so if you disagree so be it) But its great to see this new avenue you are taking an I'm excited for whats to come. If you ever need help with anything in the field of Psych reach out.

This whole video is reverse psychology and is ultimately the image perception you were talking about in the first 5 minutes of the video. You spent most of it talking about money and what you had, and how that doesn't matter anymore, but ultimately this is trying to further boost your image perception because you're playing the guy who doesn't care about all the money he made.....Smart move

Beautiful women were fawning over you long before you went to LA and tried to rub elbows with influencers. That's because you presented yourself authentically and weren't embarrassed to be yourself. The new Arlin was a damaged young man, and it makes a lot of sense how you tried to overcompensate for the pain you felt. It's unfortunate that you were taken advantage of by someone selling you the promise of success and rehabilitation, but tbh that's how I've felt the last few years with you trying to sell a secret recipe to a successful life to other young men and women who are desperate for acceptance and admiration - money can't buy happiness, only self respect can.
@ArlinMoore3 ай бұрын
Hahahahah that first line is so true 😆 but i fell for the grass is always greener To your later point - I don’t think selling a course is inherently bad. And I know for a fact thousand of people that have bought my stuff have been happy, and many even would say it changed their lived. The only problem I would say was exactly what you said - that i was trying to present myself as having *the secret recipe* as opposed to just a guy that knows some stuff that is probably useful. Underscoring & being real with what it is rather than hiding behind image of curated perfection.

why don't you make a proposition with one of your fine female friends and marry one another and make videos for five years about what it is like to marry to one person. It'll probably be equally fulfilling since you are on a spiritual quest trying to develop life's questions and answers. Oh and by the way, you are an artist. It feels like Cunningham's law where you say something about yourself that is wrong and its a lie, and we tell you the truth. Its also true that you have an artist eye but need other artists who are practicing to paint for you and what they see when you share your vision with them. (Vaccine taken, see you next year lol).
