@@DarkShadic9632 I'm a professional software developer, been programming for years. Not in games, I'm full stack web, but I do homemade game engine stuff in C in my free time for a hobby. Code is just too precise and formalized for our human brains to get it right all the time. And there's too much to know, I am using Google at least a few times per day to look up documentation for an API or examples from a library's getting-started pages. In general the sort of errors you make will change over time; as you get more experience your brain becomes good at detecting things that just look wrong so syntax errors (for instance) become far less common. Eventually you get to a point where most of the bigger errors you are making tend to be more 'architectural' -- related to the overall code structure and interface design. (And those often can't really be called 'errors,' just temporarily bad or inefficient design.) But you will always have the occasional day here or there where you do something that makes you feel like the biggest idiot in the world. Just a few weeks ago at work, a Vue app I was building stopped being able to reach its backend API; it was throwing 404s. I lost two hours debugging -- looking at the backend server to see if it was offline, checking the cookies and auth token I was sending over, then just scratching my head and saying out loud "WTF is happening...." Turns out at some point I had inadvertently changed a "-" character in the URL into a "." I call those moments a double-cryer -- you want to cry from relief that you finally found it, and cry from depression that you suck so bad hahaha. So long story short, yeah, everybody has moments like that. All you can do is take a ten minute break, take some deep breaths, commiserate with your coworkers, and then move on. And even beyond those facepalm moments, things like accessing the wrong property, passing the wrong variable to a function, or using the wrong loop bounds happen so frequently that programmers I know (including myself) hardly even notice them, those are just part of the act of programming.

@@dinkleberg794 It was tricky, yes. I'm an older programmer - back in the 80s and 90s (my childhood), programmers were like magicians, they didn't readily give up their code and help you learn. I spent an entire summer trying to create a 2d map for an RPG I was making, without it being so buggy. A bit of history - Programming came in 2 varieties - Interpreters (think Javascript, which requires existing software to handle the code), or compiliers (you had to type "DOS" in the command prompt of a TRS-80, for example, to actually use compiled programs). Closest game to Minecraft would've been Q-bert (3D jumping puzzle) and DigDug. Early 80s, I only had GWBASIC, and the Microsoft Help Menu. BBS's (Bulletin Board Systems) did exist (used them in the late 80s) and had some programming networks - these networks used dial-up modems to SLOWLY download data from a usegroup (they're extinct now) to a cascading pyramid hierarchy structure of PCs. From there, I learned about Mode X, int13h (used by Windows since Windows 95 - DirectX took over after that), learned about using Assembly (I dare you. :p) for graphics. That was... fun. ;) I also bought books (yes, physical books. :p) on Turbo Pascal and Assembly programming - I also had a Borland C++ compilier as well, and EVERY homemade gaming engine decided to use Watcom C, and these engines were very clunky to use, with no documentation. I did manage to create a semi-working 2D RPG map that was supposed to open up a new map when stepping on a "town" icon. It kinda worked, except a few coordinates were buggy, and the best I knew how to code was "If you enter a new map, create a new function". Also note - Object Oriented Programming wasn't fully developed in my childhood. It only became a thing in the mid 90s when I finished highschool and entered college, and even then, it wasn't fully taught yet - they were just transitioning into what we know and love today. There was a bit of satisfaction in those days of doing everything from scratch. Gaming engines kind of take half of the fun out of it - you already have rendering and basic physics.
