Nah Tom has the perfect mix between genuine guy and destroy stuff. He's not whiskin diesel type being extravagant he's just down to earth blowin a motor like the rest of us but he rebuilds it himself. It's a beautiful process we can respec him for 100%

@@fuxk_Ty have you owned a 5.3 or LS vehicle? They’re not necessarily special in terms of being “bulletproof”. They’re popular because they’re easy to work on and rebuild. Everybody I know with an older GM vehicle is on their 2nd to 3rd “LS”. My 5.3 Silverado threw a rod for fun at idle.

Took me a ton of setups to realize on any used gearset to just leave the marking compound in your toolbox, you’ll wind up chasing your tail because they’re already worn in. Just measure backlash with the original carrier and then shim it so it’s back exactly where it was
