You can kind of do that with base game. I discovered it when my sims had a declared ennemy : instead of the send home button, you have the "get off my lawn" option

Thanks to Growing Together, where Don Lothario became loyal and self-assured upon marrying Dina Caliente and having children with her, Dina became Squeamish. Their likes have changed slightly and they have gone from good compatibility to no compatibility despite being “deeply in love”, “soulmates” and of course married with an infant and a toddler!

This was actually a great how to for antisocial people. If you hate everyone and everything people feel that, and it makes it awkward just standing around talking to you. So instead do an activity together. Like build a puzzle or play a game. It takes the attention off your horrible social skills and lends itself to natural give and take conversations.

The aspiration trait “incredibly friendly” is super helpful for making quick friends, it’s 2000 aspiration points. Especially combined with a cheerful introduction. You can cloudgaze with another sim for easy friendship gain too

"All it took was playing 50 games of chess" can confirm, I had an evil Sim who upon meeting Santa at the community center (and walking in on him in the bath) proceeded to become immediate enemies, except every time my sim was out somewhere Santa would show up and after literally duking it out of their own volition, they'd autonomously play chess together, they ended up married with 4 kids (two Santa Babies, two alien abductions) and were soulmates. The Sims is Wild.
