This makes me think of historical-themed parks. You should do a rags to riches owning one of the shops trying to sell to tourists. That also helps with the random townies dressed in regular clothes, they are just tourists! The residents are all park employees (like actors, other shop keepers etc...) hence why they are wearing costumes. You could create some nice drama between the park employees too..

It's like a theme park you can go to where all the staff are in costumes and some visitors really dress up for the part while others just come in their normal clothes. We have a Wild West park here in Sweden. Kind of feels like this 😁

Theres a mod called Home Regions by kuttoe (originally created by ShuShu) which you can set fliters on worlds so that sims stay in they're assigned world or you can put a soft filter on. It's changed my gameplay! If I fill a world with sims only sims from that world will show up at community lots!

There's actually a lot of medieval stuff on TSR, they did a medieval theme a few months ago. It was incredibly useful for my Disney princess challenge which I still haven't finished. There's a lot of great stuff here, looks like I need to reno Henford.

Can you do a storyline where a young witch moves there to take over the apothecary from her dead grandmother and gets into a love triangle with a poor handsome farmer and a not so handsome and annoying rich knight? Did I just download all of these lots? Yes. Am I going to set them down and play in the world? Yes. I'm gonna pretend that people there choose to live in this time despite it not being the time, kind of like the Amish lol. Because I'm too lazy to replace all sims with medieval clothing. I wasn't planning on getting the Horse Ranch pack, but if this save file turns out to be one I have a lot of fun in then I just might have to. I'm hoping since Horses are part of the household that you can ride them in any world?
