I think you need to focus on defending your ally's bases most if you expect them to be the only offensive force.
@platysplatys39674 сағат бұрын
Yeah, this one was such a throw... When first big fights happened, he was hiding behind his ally and let him take all the damage while he expanded behind, and couldnt even make it worth anything.
@Lloyd-Ferri-McFerrilson17 минут бұрын
@@platysplatys3967in fairness to Thermy there were 3-4 times when his teammate fought juuuuust barely out of the range of turrets and defense and would have been twice as resource efficient if he just retreated a tiny bit then reengaged

This game came down to: 1. Teammate defended too far forward where turrets didn't reach too often 2. Not enough Planetaries

I wonder if taking their bases more aggressively and defending them would've won the game? It looked like they just had a little too much money to throw at your walls. Amazing video!

Got a crazy build idea for you Marc. What if as zerg you proxy a spire (any lair tech) using an overlord dropping creep in an unsuspecting location? I bet you could get some mental damage when they see a lair but can't find any tech.

Every single person playing defensively sits on the quarter of a map while leaving other 3/4 to opponents and sees nothing wrong with that.
@Zeuskabob13 сағат бұрын
I don't know if nuking enemy command lines qualifies as not attacking. Also, if you're going to solely defend, you need to take more than half the map for sure. I'm looking forward to the next one, if the map permits it I'm looking forward to the Great Wall of Terra, a full line of planetaries and turrets. Given they're only (?) 550/150 per planetary and 100/0 per turret, a planetary + 3 turrets ~= 4 vikings. You could build a ton, and as long as your repairs are on point you can do some nasty things with them. Maybe build ~6 CCs at home and save up for 900/900, then fly them around the enemy bases and land them all to transform to planetaries? Would definitely be entertaining, if not good.

Most of what i do, especially in 2v2, is harass the economy as much as possible to help win the long game. I hereby challenge you to get a gg by only harassing your enemy. You cannot engage their armies head on, or deep strike their forces inside their bases. You also cannot use your MAIN army in defense. You can, however, use defensive units like tanks and bunkers, aggressive expansions, repel enemy attacks, and kill defending units, like queens or early marines/stalkers, but not the larger clumps that respond. Harassment includes: Taking out key targets like tech labs, pylons, overlords, queens and CC/Hatch/Nexus. Killing workers (including nuking areas besides the main army rally). Sabotaging and/or blocking expansions by any means. No unit or tech restrictions other than the no direct confrontations as the offensive party. Have fun, for added fun times try starport rushes, Terran has 2 awesome units for harassment most people overlook in the shadow of the liberator :)

PS this might be peak silver to gold strats but i find a hellbat-siege tank combo can absolutely decimate a non flyer zerg player. Hellbats being super cheap and dealing bonus to light is a very good pair for siege tanks, and they almost never get used :)

You should have fed your ally first for him to build up his army to attack; you spent too many resources and only defended one side of the base. I wonder how it would have turned out if your ally had more resources to work with, since he would lose more resources while attacking. Turtling for terran is broken after all.

@raghardeishi972Сағат бұрын
Why didn't you simply creep planetaries to enemy bases and won that way? You can defend newly build bases even with your defensive build. They were dry and as long as you kept creeping, even a mere landing command center and screaming and we claimed this land for our empire, would clean them out away from any minerals and resources. That was like running away.

you always do bad mega lategame. YOu need to be more focused on expanding and moving as much csvs out from main base as possible. As a buffert. Im not good 1vs1 but played alot with many ppl . Your main is almost less importaint then your expoansion. Always see your 2 expansions as the way to win. if the opponent doesnt steamball your after a bad trade, then jsut maintainting base lead or middle bases will win. In long games minerals is mined out so try to expand early, if that expansion dies so be it. but mine the middle and stop expansions. As terran you can have bigger army supply. as protos make alot of cannons and warm gates and just trade-trade trade and be agressive and you win. :) zerg also but zerg is harder when alone vs 2 or more if they are good.
