it really need a pancake layer its kinda good but its like 2 doors and ceiling making it like at max like 10 c4 also with rockets u can splash both bunkers im pretty sure so that kinda fails

Good base, thanks for posting it. Found out last night however that it needs more honeycomb on the triangles to the left of the TC. Raiders came through the wall right to the twig half wall and were in. It was early wipe for me so the 1 layer of honeycomb wasn't hqm yet. Interested in seeing more bases that start with the 2x1 core.

The problem with solo bases, and bunkers in general, is that a clan of more than 3 isn’t going to go through the doors anyway, they’re going to hit the walls. I’ve started going a different direction, making the most simple 2x2 or hexagonal base you could imagine, but adding pixel gapped external tcs for 2 large and 1 small box each of hidden loot outside my base. Instead of 24-36 rockets breaking through my 2x2, only to find… not much, they get to break 100 rockets in externals to get all my loot. That hasn’t happened once in the 5 or so months I’ve been building that way. If any solo/duo can manage an 8k stone / 7k metal upkeep, it’s the best way to go. I spend most of my time griefing larger clans, so usually the upkeep is less of an issue than not being wiped 😂

Bunker bases work great too because 1) it's risky. You still might not have much and 2) it's potentially a lot of boom to waste to get less than you spent.

As a noob in rust I builded this base just to practise my building skills. It was fun, because you could just add layers when you got the mats. I did base just like in video, except I added garage doors and did not leave wide open area and did not add turrets. I got raided from the roof down (starting from the metal one) and all the way to the TC, from the shaft where the stairs are. The base was pretty beat up, but raiders didnt get much, because I had my main loot elsewhere. It took me 15 min to rebuild this base and I absolutely loved it. I`m thinking to add metal barricades to roof, but I´m not sure, because I would like raid happen from tops. Fun thing that I thought that you could make this triple bunker If you build metal/stone half wall opposite from your workbench. If you are a masochist who doesnt mind to softside the bunker open everytime you get on :D

I made a small 2x2 honeycombed with a pixel gap core with tc and 2 lockers in pixel gap. Has a shooting floor and the chair/roof exploit on the top floor. No wide peaks. For externals i used the bunker where the tc pokes out the triangle roof pieces. Tc doesnt take damage. Has a bedroom in each external w. Locker, bed and enough space for 3 large boxes plus a large battery and 3 turrets on each.. itd my new jam. cheap and cost effective

I would love a tutorial on this, as a solo I’ve never made a bunker base as it always seems soo complicated and I don’t use connected tcs, just static ones. I’m tired of building the same design I build, it has huge upkeep due to my double honeycomb and pancaking, plus the 20 or so garage doors I like to use as part of my functional honeycomb.

I like your design but in my 4k hours of solo gameplay I found that your base strength does not matter. It can be a 4 rocket or 40 rocket raid, no difference. If you piss someone off enough and they know where you live they will just go to snow for 30 min with ore tea or run excavator for a little bit and then come and fuck you up. A good base is a stealthy one. I build a standard 2x2 with a simple pixelgap bunker and external TCs and more than 80% of the time when I get raided I survive with mainloot intact, even when they get to core. I just put most stuff in pixelgap and some more in externals and I am practically immune to being raided. On top of that I try to not draw too much attention to my base by changing names often and only fighting close to it when I have to.

Totally agree, that's why I build bases that I don't have to spend a lot of time and resources on. Even if I get raided, I can build a new base in a couple hours in another location.

about the jump-up from core to bunker, isn't a ladder hatch far worse than being able to place a spiral triangle staircase? with a ladder hatch, that has 250 health flat, you can't place a spiral triangle staircase that at stone quality is at 1000 health

You need to do floor stack method. i mean make double floor how you make it in your video "*NEW* Insane 2x1 expansion for Solo/Duo in RUST! (Double BUNKER, Double FLOORS)". Because the weak point of the base is 2 square floors, which are placed above the Tool Cupboard. 1 broken square floors = access to Tool Cupboard and loot boxes. Need a make double 2 square floors and then you need to break 2 floors to access in Tool Cupboard and loot boxes. @@stelicRUST
