This is the best zombie game I’ve ever played and it’s one of my favorite games that I’ve ever played period. I absolutely love this game some of the dopest zombie mechanics the way the hordes move and act together like a flock of birds or an infestation of roaches crawling and climbing over everything, the sounds and how intense they made a lot of the situations on top of an incredible and beautiful world design for how old the game is now it still holds up.

I read that they weren’t going to do a days gone part 2 due to their not being enough interest in the game at the time of release. I did read just the other day, though, that with all the hype going on with this game from fans, there is now some consideration for a part 2.

What’s crazy is if you listen to the dialogue from NERO recorders or other collectibles/conversations about what it was like at first, hordes would come up the highways and hit the refugee camps by the thousands and even millions. So this is actually what they would have been facing back in the earlier days before they dispersed more.

Sony not making Days Gone 2 is the equivalent of Rockstar not making GTA 6. Whomever is making the decision not to make Days Gone 2 shouldn't even be mopping the floors at Sony, let alone making decisions. 🤦‍♂️

Sony might own the studio but that doesn't mean they make all the major decisions due to contract agreements. Basically, if the Bend Studio doesn't want to make a second game then Sony cant do anything about it other then ask them to leave the studio.

there are enough hints(side missions, etc.) in days gone, that can be made to lead to days gone ll. eg. cannibalism as new enemies, tunnel filled with horde on the bottom of the map that leads to new map, more evolved freakers, etc.

Everytime I think about replaying the game I remember the levels of stress the hordes gave me. The first big horde you take on is terrifying.

Thanks for this video supporting a possible DG2. DG was initially meant to be a trilogy. Lets hope that we get to see and play DG2 and DG3, Insh'Allah! Also there is talk of a Days Gone movie. I'd vote to keep Sam Witwer starring as Deacon, since he does such a good job in the game. Big Hitters like you CAN make a difference WillyB.

Every Days Gone video is still making hundreds of thousands (if not millions) of views so many years after the release. I don't know of any other game that still has such a massive fanbase so many years after it's been released. They need to do a sequel, and it needs to be done by the exact same team and in the exact same spirit (not woke).

The game engine is done, admittedly they'd want to upgrade to Unreal Engine 5 but what we want is more story. Sony should fund Bend Studios for a sequel. Honestly if I could find folks that wanted to work on a mod I'd be all in on trying to tell the rest of the story, maybe some side missions, expansion type stuff. I just want more. Days Gone is too awesome to leave where it ended.

They gave them a bigger budget than any other game. Sony wanted the storyline but Bend wanted online multiplayer. They added it to the demo and Sony canned it. Said we told you what we wanted and the game looked like and played like shit in story mode because they put the majority of the funding into multiplayer online. Jeff Ross is solely responsible for no Days Gone 2.

@@joehurley2865 If you don't like the game I get it but at no point during my four (?) playthroughs have I ever felt like it was missing multiplayer. The entire story was integral to the game and vice versa. You either like the pacing or you don't. There was going to be a moral option but they canned that idea. I can see why, they'd have to literally double their workload and it would limit potential sequels.

Amazing! Been meaning to buy this ever since I got a PC and just hadn't got round to it. Was halfway or so through it, and then left the PS4 at my parents house. Gonna be fun to properly play through and finish. Hope they make a sequel some day, was one of the more enjoyable games from the last 10 years for sure. WORLD WAR Z, DAYS GONE, back 4 blood what a master piece if these gaming companys work together and put all of what they have!. i love the perks and cards in back 4 blood you can really create a support, damage, etc... specs and upgraded items you can find, while world war z makes some cool special zombies like the screaming zombie and nice weapon choice grenade launcher and talent system for world war z is amazing with decent hordes. days gone open map gameplay other humans your fighting and them fighting hordes etc... and environment with the bike etc... makes it more than just a zombie game.

I wish the hoards were all unlocked out of the gate, I always thought it was a mistake that the hoards only showed up later, and the point that if the infected like these locations, then why did they not quickly respawn. Now if you were to figure out to burn their caves out burning their um...poop trails then you could slow their respawn rate as well. I still love this game over all.

I used this massive horde mod with the "increased shotgun range" and "increased buckshot in one shot" mods and let me tell you the Auto Shotgun just melts through these hordes like it's nothing. If you can get them all confined through a small enough gap you can literally halt the entire horde from advancing because the shotgun is so powerful but still these massive hordes pose a massive danger, one wrong step and that's it even with such an insanely strong shotgun. Important note: If you do use these mods together be very careful of enemies with shotguns, they will oneshot you from quite far away and become by far the most dangerous human enemy to encounter.

I never understood the hate for this game. I played it on PC and loved it. Then I added mods to increase all hordes to a lore accurate amount (you can find readable lore indicating hordes should consist of thousands of individuals) and the game was even more awesome.

Situation with Days gone 2 is very similar to Remedy’s Alan Wake 2, when “Alan Wake” was a property of microsoft and they didn’t want Alan Wake 2 to be released and didn’t want to give a green light to other studios to develope this game.

I read it in a lot of comments, or even when you talk to other gamers. This game excited a lot of people, including me. Totally. I understand that the game had some difficulties at launch due to performance issues. But what a great game it ultimately became. I think I've already done it 5 times. There will definitely be another session in a year. I will never understand why Sony is apparently too arrogant... and doesn't listen to its buyers/customers. Poor Sony!

This is what I did for L4D2, and it's like playing a brand new zombie game. No HUD should be pushed more in gaming. HUDs create an arcade feeling, which in my opinion ruins the feel of a lot of games and handy caps people.

Sony didn't want to do a Part 2 for numerous reasons one of which had to do with how it was received at the time of launch however with the PC launch it sold just as much as TLOU 2 sold and that goes into the second part. Sony was concerned about the internal politics with ND and Bend. Bend had went to ND for tips on the game and certain aspects of it due to TLOU 2 and Sony put all their eggs in the TLOU 2 and then when TLOU 2 was received mixed and only sold 10 to 12 million which was what Days Gone sold, they had to bury that aspect of it. Bend moved on to start making a new game almost immediately so even with the fact that it sold just as many as TLOU 2, they had already started their 2nd project by that time. It's also one of the reasons why the rumors on how many Days Gone has sold comes from Bend leaking it cause Sony refused to release the number they had for Day Gone. It was all an internal politics issues between two sony studios.

I think morbius is part of the reason Sony won’t green light it despite the fans calling for it. Sony treats days gone like a failure and they don’t want to “rehash” it by putting out a sequel that could flop due to a “troll campaign” in their eyes

not troll. it had to deal with the internal issues between ND and Bend with having to games so closely together mixed with the fact that Bend actually went to ND for tips and pointers on what to do with Days Gone. It would be an embarrassment for Sony who put all their eggs into TLOU 2 basket that only sold 10 to 12 million at launch matching what Days Gone has done lol.
