My sister would have loved this video! She grew up with the Lady Lovelylocks dolls, watched the cartoon, and she was a big fan of your channel, and would even customize bjd dolls in her spare time. She just passed away after a long fight with cancer on the 24th, and even intends on being buried with her favorite BJD doll who was always by her side during her treatments. Thank you for bringing extra light into this world, you've touched more people than you realize.

You actually inspired me to try upcycling a sencond hand doll from my own collection recently, using mostly things I had in my craft stash... I literally only bought hair and used some brand new glitter which maybe counts? And then seeing you come out with this just reinforces the idea that you don't have to be fancy to be creative 🙏🏻♥️ Just do it if it makes you happy. Do it for you.

I am almost positive that the tiny creatures that lived in Lady Lovely Locks' hair were called "Pixie Tails", not "Pixie Locks". and the hair WAS their tail, not hair coming out of their butt under existing bunny tails. But otherwise I LOVE this and am so happy someone else remembers one of my favorite 80's properties.

I love this so much! Maiden Curlycrown was one of my favorite dolls when I was a kid, and you really did justice to the dolls in both versions, but I'm partial to the small one because of the nostalgia of that face mold. Lady Lovelylocks and Rose Petal Palace are two doll lines that really need more of a spotlight on them.

I squealed when I saw you were doing Lady Lovely Locks! I was born in 1982, and LLL was one of my favorite dolls and animated series! The funny thing is, I seem to have been one of the few who had this doll (I actually still have it somewhere), and most people never knew she existed. I had a Maiden Curly Crown as a child, probably for Christmas '88, it remained one of my favourite dolls for years! I really wanted the Lady Lovely Locks, being the main character, but they have been on my list of really beautiful dolls/cartoon characters ever since. Both of these dolls are gorgeous and such a testament to your creativity and craftsmanship!! I think it would be so cool if challenged yourself to make a doll with only the things you have laying around in your studio. You always mention having so many left over materials and such so it would be interesting to see what you can come up with without buying custom fabrics, 3D printable files, vinyls, etc. I'm sure it would turn out just as beautiful as any other project you've worked on

I really love Lovely Lady Locks too. They were a bit before my time age wise but I love the original watercolor illustrations. The original doll has such a sweet face.
