imagine a day stalker if you look at it directly it will disappear, and the next time it re appears it will be one block closer or less than one block closer if possible and if you get within 3 blocks of it you get killed. or it only moves if you look at it, like a reverse weeping angel, a laughing demon

Question, how do you manage to host a server bc i try many ways to let my friend join but it keeps on saying failed to connect a server. Plus my friends is far away where I live so I understand its impossible to join unless its the same wifi. As expected by ANYTHING related to minecraft.... Loud = scary! Because there is nobody in the minecraft community who apparently is capable of creating something actually scary, since none of you know what subtlety or suspense is or actual good horror mechanics are....

It's really sad cause the base game itself would lend itself perfectly to some great and inventive horror mechanics and mindfuckery, but noooooo...... LOUD NOISES!!!! MONSTER RUNS AT YOU LOOKING EXTREMELY REGARDED!!! RAAAAAAAAAAH!!!! Wow.... how boring. Here's some god damn CREATIVE IDEAS aight!! - Create a monster that mimics objects in the world or other mobs, the only way to tell would be to be observant and see some behaviour to it that seems off. When it is discovered it'll look to preserve its' own existence and survival by maybe making you hallucinate to distract you, since it wants to capture different abilities before it hunts. It could learn how to use the abilities of different mobs it comes into contact with for example. It could over time even copy player abilities if it manages to kill a player, it could learn to craft stuff, dig tunnels, build structures, use boats (player abilities ya get it) - Create a fully functional The Thing mod, would be perfect for this game.... - Create a swarm creature, when you attack it, you get marked and every night from then on you will get swarmed, the more of the swarm you kill, the more horrible the next swarm will be, etc.... At least try for fuck sake XD Came up with these in less than a minute.... what are these modders doing.... why is it all so cut and dry, drab, uninspired boredom!??

Well the Herobrine mods are a good contender, and the Cave dweller when he's in stalking mode. The point of my modpack is to be as suspenseful as possible, this can be customised by changing the spawn cap of the monsters meaning there are less of them around with a lower number, making it more scary because you forget about them until they strike. My world with my friends is at a cap around 3-4 which makes it dreadful but interesting.

@@Arrenek The issue still remains that the creatures just aren't all that scary or interesting really... Herobrine isn't even a mob or a threat ya know.... he just looks at you and vanishes.... Cave Dweller is at least a little bit interesting but still, all it does is run after you to kill you and he can crawl through gaps, that's about it... The biggest problem is all of their behaviors are very very simple and played out.... It's either, player looks at monster, monster vanishes. Or, player looks at monster, monster attacks. Or, monster attacks. Or, monster kinda stares at you for a bit and then attacks or runs away in the goofiest display of dumb I have ever seen in my entire life XD That's it really.... The modpack is fine honestly, the problem is just that the monsters are kinda garbage, they move goofy af and the only thing they got going on is the above plus LOUD NOISES... sorry but that just isn't scary.... XD Don't take this a critique per sé, it's more of a challenge towards the creators of these mods to do better, they already showed they can code simple AI behaviour into minecraft, so they should go full blast with it really...

TBH the cave dweller does have a mechanic that when you look at it, it runs away. I don't think it happens enough though.
