I can explain in a way that makes sense to even people who never played duel monsters. Essentially the point of the game is to either 1. Reduce your opponent’s life points to 0 2. [the more common way] make the game last as excruciatingly long and frustrating as possible. I am not even joking. Many card games like Hearthstone, Magic the Gathering, have these infamous “stall decks”. They are designed to make your opponent lose by running out of cards in their deck [usually means automatic forfeit]. All the references emphasis how the cards gradually stall the game more and more, leading to the big reveal of localized tornado. Imagine running a marathon. You’re absolutely exhausted, dehydrated, constipated, but you see the finish line. Just before you hit the finish line, you’re hit by a powerful tornado that takes you RIGHT back to the start of the race. If I were that opponent, I’d have _uninstalled_ the game after that.

I did a bit of math to figure out how many attack negates would be done before the infinite loop of Localized Tornados happened, and turns out it can block 21 attacks before it- 6 attacks from the three copies each of Rainbow Life and Hallowed Life Barrier, plus 15 from Jar of Avarice (three copies of shuffling back in five of those six each time), means that it can block 21 attacks before having the loop (or you could loop earlier by shuffling back in four of those six and one of the already used Jar of Avarice)

I played against this deck with the prescience skill, the whole time i be tryna figure out the man's strategy when it dawned upon me....i felt sorrow, fear, emotions i don't even know the names of.... So when i won, it was not a duel that i won, but closure that i obtained. It's only after all of that i noticed the localized tornado in his deck...sure am glad he didn't play it

I play this kind of decks a lot. I found out that when you play defensive, your chance of winning is around 50%, because most decks are build on a principle of counter attacking or counter summoning. So if you don't attack, they can't do shit and just run out of cards.

I played this deck before only it was somehow more cancerous than this one, with my noble knights deck as well. With the noble brothers out it becomes a contest of finding out how long each one can be bothered to last. After about 10 minutes I just surrendered.

Sadly its not currently possible on duel links, but I created a deck called "Eye of Pain". It mainly consisted of ways to slowdown, deny, and lockdown my opponent. Sadly it wasn't always fullproof, but it was fun to use regardless. Yes, it does have the eye of truth and bad reaction cards. And the eyes cards. Including the link versions.

He made a deck entirely out of stall cards. Rainbow Life: Throw away a card; all damage you take for the turn becomes health instead. Hallowed Life Barrier: Throw away a card; literally nothing can damage you for the turn. Paleozoic Canadia: Flips an enemy Monster face-down so it can't do anything; also comes back from the dead as a Monster that's immune to all enemy Monsters' special powers. Stegocyber: A Monster that comes back from the dead when you're attacked and has high defense. Kuriboh: Throw it away and it blocks 1 attack. This sort of shit is annoying, but not very dangerous. The danger comes from the last 2 cards: Jar of Avarice: Shuffle 5 dead cards back into the deck, then draw a card. Localized Tornado: Shuffle *all* your dead cards (and your hand) back into the deck. Unless an opponent gets lucky or has a way to shut down all Traps right out the gate, they're either going to get pissed off and leave, or they'll draw all their cards (an automatic loss).
