I’ve got an idea. Make one car with as much torque and as little horsepower as possible and then make a car with as much horsepower and as little torque as possible and compare them to see which is better.

I've made a car with only 100 horsepower but over 600 nm of torque by keeping the torque curve at extremely low rpms. As you would expect, its performance is basically the same as any other 100 horsepower engine except it stays at low rpms and its performance doesn't decrease as much when more weight is added to the car. I haven't tried the other way around, but that seems like it wouldn't be as interesting because all you would have to do is make any engine that has peak torque at 12,000 rpm, which is basically any tiny engine.

i have done this myself trying to make a i3 shitbox and i encountered that problem of the engine the breaking immedietly after spawning in, so you just have to hold the gas and the clutch when spawning in so it doesnt die (and u have to hold it for the time your driving lol) and then wait for the rpm to reach 5 or ALMOST 6 because if you reach 6 it breaks down and let the clutch out (dont drop the gas) and then finally, ACCELERATION and dont forget to press the clutch again :)

I have a vehicle with like -2 horsepower I'm not even sure how that's possible but I think what I basically had for the vehicle is some type of V engine and it was made in like a previous game version than like the most recent automation one but because of the parts being used still being the ones that are in the current game it is still able to do the crazy stuff even though it lost its ability for the RPM and engine belt to do backwards loops
