You are so very clever ! Great job and thank you so much for keeping those wheel bound folks in mind❣️❣️❣️ I will be making one of these but will adjust measurements to fit an electric scooter.

Great idea.You could do the same thing for a scooter too,but make it narrower as the arms are shorter.The bags you can buy for wheelchairs and scooters are not that nice and very expensive.This is a nice and more personalised idea which can use up bits of material left over from things you have made,or even sewing pieces together .i love the idea and I will have a go for my mobility scooter if I get a chance ..Love to you and your family 🥰

Great idea. I have made bags .Made one for my mom’s wheel chair. That went on the back. This is much better. The person in the wheel chair can get there own things they need. Thank you for sharing.

This is an absolutely perfect accessory for a transport chair (all 4 wheels are small). This is the kind of chair my mom had. I wasn't sewing back then, but I did buy her one like this, and it was so helpful. It looks like it would be super easy to alter for a personal chair, too (small wheels in the front and large in the back. Someone would just need to make the outside flap shorter than the inside and maybe use a little more Velcro to compensate for the lopsided weight. Thank you for finding the time to do this, it's such a needed pattern you don't usually find and buying them can get crazy expensive!

Thank you for sharing this! You explained this and made it doable, even if someone has limited sewing experience. I' have only made bags for walkers, but I like the way this attaches to the chair.

I have always thought about doing that when I was in a wheelchair for 5 years I know 1 year I will be back in 1 but I'm still fighting the fight to walk I'm missing my lower spine it's a miracle that I can't walk For now. I think you for being such a gracious person to do this for people with disabilities

I have made basically the same thing, only for walkers. Actually I did sew one for a wheelchair as someone had asked me for one.
@susangray64707 ай бұрын
This would also work on the front of a walker. It would make it much easier for the person to carry things since they are using their hands to move the walker.

Oh no, KZbin does that sometimes, that’s why when I shared something for memberships most people don’t get notifications. Thank you so much for your generosity and your support means a lot to me Sending love to you and your family Vivian

This is wonderful for those types of wheel chairs. I don't think it would work for the W/C's that people can self propel with the bigger wheels or perhaps needs to be re-designed.

I like your idea but if you’ve got a heavyset person seems to me like the inside pockets would be bothersome? I’ve made some similar to yours instead I added ties on the ends & the middle, I did try Velcro but with them ( person ) moving it wouldn’t stay ! With the ties it holds much better ! I also made a whole pocket all the way around for my moms walker , again I added ties , I also made some pockets smaller than others for her phone , glasses & water bottle, when I took her outside to see her garden! My mom’s skin was very delicate, I got some pool noodles , larger ones, slit in half , taped down to her arm rests ! The first chair my mom had she couldn’t get a hold of brakes , so I took to Home Depot , a man there added some pvc pipes with caps on both sides , much better, I hope you can visualize this it’s the best way I can explain ! The pvc rested on the handbrakes to help her handle them !
