Shame about the Loaches not reproducing. There are several videos about breeding them (and I am sure you watched them), where they will reproduce under very different circumstances, so I don't know what the "magic ingredient" may be. Good luck with the new attempt and also with C. sterbai!

I watched them all. My only concern is that I got them from three different sources and although they look the same maybe they are not. This is the only logical thing I can think of but to be honest I don't think that is the reason. I moved them just to try to change their environment so lets see. I will give them another 6-8 months and if they don't breed I will try getting new breeding pairs (all from a single source).

Yeah, maybe the breeding pairs are incompatible. I know this happens with Cichlids, but I don't know if the egg scattering types of fish care that much. Or maybe there needs to be more of them...
