Any video with your parents in it is five ⭐️. Love your father’s aside about the walk, and your mother walking the boardwalk in Mediaeval Times. I see where you get your humor. That plasma cutter looked lethal. But NOOOOO it was the fan that almost did you in. I love the new welding mask, very Matrix looking, always good to keep protect your eyes. That was brilliant! The Captain is sadistic. Thanks for posting this early. 😊☕️😊🤗☕️🤗 Kathy

The folks are great! They are both funny, my fathers sense of humour is wicked!Unfortunately I have a rule that no politics etc. on the channel and he falls foul of that. It’s funny stuff and not controversial at all but those are the rules…. The reason the fan got me was because I didn’t think of it as a danger. Everything else I’ve learned to be wary of… the amazing thing is that the nail is still on! I’m glad the timing is better for you! 😁

@@canicebannon They are absolutely brilliant. Your father always looks like he is on the brink of a real doozy coming from him. Your mother appears to just roll with it and let them out whenever, looking totally non pulsed. The fan thing was scary 😱 So glad it wasn’t worse and that your nail is still intact. The time is perfect…..although I ended up wide awake reading until almost 3 😳 Soooo…..whatever time works for you. Looking forward to what you are going to do with those huge cylinders things that you plasma cut. All the windows look great! Please tell me the curtains will be repurposed 🧐. Have a good week Canice. 😊🤗☕️ Kathy

Nice welding jobb! When you route cables true metal, you should use a rubber gromit to protect the cables! The captain will be wery happy when the cables make short curcuit to the metal due to vibrations that will wear the insulation on the cables off!
@canicebannon
@canicebannon Жыл бұрын
The hole I pulled those cables through will lacerate them very quickly. That was one of those feverish ideas to get past the blockage in the work. The cables interfere with the opening of the door. The next rainy day I’ll move the batteries out of there permanently….

The Captain finally had the last word. What a rotter. I tried using the CC to hear what your parents were saying, but it just said "foreign." Usually the CC is too much of a distraction to be bothered with. It often can't tell what you're saying, either. I would have thought the way to go with the doors would be to make the doors and frame as a unit, then slide the whole thing into place. Presumably the weight of the assembly was the trouble there.
@canicebannon
@canicebannon Жыл бұрын
I should have subtitled them. The mic wasn’t picking them up very well. If I was living in Ireland I would speak in a very Irish vernacular where ALL of the subtitles would be in a foreign language.😂😂 The big issue is that the boat isn’t straight, so if I did make it perfectly first, it wouldn’t marry with the boat. So I take my inspiration from Tudor timber frame buildings and make the doors fit the space, not the other way around. Also, my facilities are really basic. I should be welding on a steel table that’s perfectly straight and flat and clamp the piece to be welded so that it doesn’t warp during the welding process… as I don’t have that I have to get creative… and, oh boy do I get creative!😂😂😂
@mungmungie
@mungmungie Жыл бұрын
@@canicebannon Your comment about fitting to Tudor timber frames makes perfect sense. I suspect Irish vernacular would be understandable to a lot of people in Canada, but less so in the States. Newfoundland accents are quite similar, but where did those incredibly tough folk come from? Three guesses....

Oh Canice so much going on, and many cliffhangers even. But I have to mention that I totally cracked up when shortly after the start of the upbeat music, the forewarning dirge came on…..signaling a bloody mess. So sorry that you messed up your nail, must have been unpleasant to work with. Thanks for the beautiful shots at the beginning. I’m, like others, amazed that your channel is slow to grow, the content is always superb. But on the other hand: your personal relation to the followers is first class! Canice, I think if you look at the latch hardware on your skylights, the groove in the knob can slip into the catch so you can have the windows open but still somewhat secure so that pirates can't easily raid your booty.

A 12-volt fan did that?! 😬 I was thinking more “computer fan” and less car radiator fan I think! My goodness, those shots in Ireland are amazing. How did the new welding helmet fair? Seemed pretty nice. (Looks cool anyway!) you are making great progress, Canice!
@canicebannon
@canicebannon Жыл бұрын
It’s an automotive 12v fan and I use it primarily to cool the welder! The funny thing about the helmet was that the new one was having the same problem as the old one. It seems the sensor (it darkens the glass) was getting confused. I don’t quite understand what was going on. (Might have been the heat) I decided to keep it as the visor was much clearer to see what I was doing.
@Makesmistakes
@Makesmistakes Жыл бұрын
@@canicebannon ahh, that makes sense. The duty cycle on the welders can run pretty short when they get hot! Hmm… interesting issue with the sensor. Seems as though they should account for the heat in a welding mask!! 😁 hope your finger heals well, and here is hoping you get to keep the nail!
