Lovely to spend time with you again. Your Aunt's shawl i very pretty. Alpaca silk is a gorgeous drapey fibre, so soft and warm. Tommy is adorable, grandchildren make your day. Our little one is 3 next week. We have a special day out planned. This week I've been working on my scrappy epp quilt. Seeing all your beautiful quilts encouraged me to lift it out. I love handstitching but can only do it for short periods Springtime garden and birds, joyful. Have a great week, take care 🌈

Thanks for sharing. Always something to learn and wonder about. The shawl was so pretty. The picot is such a simple but effective edging. Tommy's smile 🤗🤗😘 Never heard of a pikelet. I do love a good pancake though. I love weird sea creatures. They are fascinating. Our woodpeckers are knocking, too, this morning. Our robins migrate but should be back soon. A sure sign of spring. That's one thing I enjoy about bird watching is noting the return of the migrating birds. The swans and geese have come back to the creek. The lake is still frozen so no loons for a few weeks yet. I just love it that I never know what I am going to learn about when I start watching your latest podcast - such a lovely chinwag! I have eaten pikelets many times but have never tried to make them - so thanks for the encouragement to try this recipe. Wonderful to see little Tommy, too! I especially loved seeing your little film of your garden wildlife. What a pretty little bird the brambling is! I’ve never seen one before. Spring is a bit slower up here in the north - the blackthorn here hasn’t yet started to flower. Thanks again, Pene, for putting together another lovely selection of interesting things! Take care xx

Thanks Helen. We were lucky to have the pair of brambling. Not common on our feeder. It's cold and damp here today. Glad I made the most of the sunshine. I've just shown Pete your trees and the leaves you are making. He was fascinated and we can't wait to get out and have a look for ourselves. So many lovely leaves. As I watched it again with Pete I noticed you said 'I just did this or I just did that'. There's no 'just' about it. They are little pieces of your imagination that a lot of us don't have but you have in spades! I'm glad you find my selection of things interesting. I thought 'will anyone want to watch this weeks episode!!'

So pleased you like the shawl. Let me know when it arrives. Darling wee Tommy stayed the night last night and was as good as gold. I've just said goodbye to him and had a nap myself! I'm glad you enjoyed the episode, I can't believe I have done one every week for 38 weeks. Take care with your recovery from Covid. How disappointing to get this far and then succumb. We are taking every care here as it is everywhere.

Loved Chinwag Pen. Scarf looks beautiful. I’m with you on the maths🥺 never mind, anyway the problem was, how would you know about how many boys fit in the dorm, when you went to a girls school. That’s really confusing with no boys to line up Lol. Definitely will try the pikelets. What a talented Whittler Andrew is. Super little chick. Enjoyed the T/A so helpful to learn and use. Loved the cuttlefish fact always interesting and little bumbling bird never seen or heard of it, so pretty. Thanks Pen.

Thanks Kay, It's obvious now you've said it, how would I know going to an all girls school! We were lucky to see the brambling pair. The family will love the pikelets but beware they go down so quickly!
