This is one of my top favorite episodes of I Married Joan! 💜 I love how straight-faced she said, "I am not shooting off any cannons." too funny 😆 Also, I love the beating around the bush just to tell Brad no 😆 Jim Backus was great, too 😊

Same here. My favorite episode. They are absolutely spot on brilliant here. I loved the scene where he was filming her in the wind and her dress kept blowing over her head. It genuinely looked like a real home movie. I'm a huge Lucille Ball fan, and to me Joan was every bit as brilliant as Lucy. It's so tragic that Joan tragically died not long after her show went off the air. And then not long after that her family died in a house fire. We will never know what else Joan would have done. Joan is one of the great unsung funny ladies in television history. I love Jim Bacus more on I Married Joan than any other role he played. ✌❤

Great episode! And I'm delighted to get this background information. I'd seen this once before and always wondered if they had a giant fan out of view to blow Joan around that way on the cliff, but apparently she was actually there on a REALLY windy day -- I think those shots are absolutely hilarious! A funny well-scripted episode and Joan and Backus play especially well together. Great to see those true-to-life shots of Joan on the surfboard etc., Very entertaining -- thanks so much for uploading and for sharing all the info.

sometimes these shows were ridiculous. like this one. she's always amusing but the scripts were i keeping wiyth most other sitcoms of the day and this day as well.
