Hello, Cesar you saved my life. You have been kindly leading people on how to behave with dogs. My neighbor got a big bull dog that was aggressive. One day walking outside he came at me barking and charging me. Instinct lead me to stand still and when he got within 2-4 ft I hissed and snapped my fingers. I had fallen in love with Daddy and therefore didn't panic. He froze and looked confused, not as confused as the neighbors. Thank you for giving of your heart and I miss Daddy and Junior ❤😢

Greyhounds are such lovely dogs! But, from my own experience with greyhounds, especially those that a rescued, so many have built-up trauma from their time on the race tracks that it can be so difficult to help them recover and move beyond those memories. And I know Cesar always tells us the dogs don’t hold onto the past the way that we do, but I can tell you that our greyhound was so traumatized by her time on the track that any loud noise could send her into a spiral to the point where we had to have the TV going, fans on high, and put a blanket over her crate just for her to calm down 😢 Glad to see more greyhound content on here that shows the full spectrum of these beautiful, zoomie doggos 🐶

❤🩹The Spanish greyhound (galgo español) is mostly used for hunting rabbits. They are kept in squalid conditions and bred to have huge litters, driven to the brink of death in training, and then tortured/killed or abandoned to starve at around 3/4 years of age. The lucky ones, upwards of 80K PER YEAR (you read that right) end up in Spain's overflowing shelters. And the worst part is, loopholes in Spanish law make it legal to abuse hunting dogs because they are simply tools. I wish I were making it up. I myself have adopted one and he is the hilarious and beautiful love of my life.

I've seen in some other training videos where the trainer has a helper dog too, and the helper dog puts the aggressive dog in its place (meaning they show the aggressive dog they are not the baddest on the block). Try checking out Joe Beckman and his helper dog Prince. Maybe if your dog was corrected by a helper dog, it could help for those moments when you're not looking. I'm not a trainer, just someone trying to help with some other suggestions. ✌️

Me too! 3yr old Galgo rescue from Spain 4 months ago. He's aggressive and sent my friend's dog to the er for attacking his neck. I've been watching a lot of aggressive dog-training videos and learning a lot. Training every single day. I also (with the help of professionals) matched and rescued a much bigger 4yr old female Greyhound that puts the Galgo in his place when he gets out of hand. They allowed me to foster her in case it didn't work out but she's a wonderful addition. She's very calm, confident, assertive, alpha and helps me with setting the tone of what is expected. It was rough in the beginning, but every day, little by little, he's improving. I'm in love with them both!

My mini schnauzer (he’s big for a mini at 30 pounds) does this but he doesn’t respond to any corrections. It’s like someone flips a switch and he lunges at a dog. He doesn’t look at them and then go at them. As soon as he sees them he reacts and it’s awful. I’ve tried a lot of different ways to correct this behavior, but nothing helps him. It’s very frustrating. His excitement level spikes as soon as he sees another dog.

Number ONE: That Spanish dog is a Galgo and not a Greyhound. Its like calling a Beagle and a Foxhound the same dog. Number TWO racing greyhounds are NOT forced to run. They love to run ..just take any retired racer to any sort of track and watch them. Racers are not rescued , they retire. When working they are treated like professional athletes. Don't belive the lies and garbage spread by the "rescue" groups who spent millions to ban racing in Florida and then did absolutely ZERO to rehome the thousands of dogs put out of work. It was the racing enthusiasts and trainers who rehomed ALL of those dogs . Ceaser , as usual was exactly right in his evaluation, and correction.

@@achatsgpr3294Galgo Español is an ancient spanish breed. It was -and still is in Spain- a hunting dog. They have never been bred to race in the track. Nowadays Galgo Español is approved in many countries to be bred as pure breed an be registrated to the official register. Galgo in the other hand is spanish word for unregistered hunting dogs that reminds Greyhounds. They can be purebred Galgo Españols, or mixed with other greyhound-type dogs.

Ok I got a big problem like this I would love for Caesar to help. I've reached out but I haven't heard it back .This is nothing in comparison how my female rottweiler acts. Not only is she animal aggressive. (She has killed 2 animals!) And not only is she aggressive with animals? She can be aggressive with people too. Seems like at least certain people she absolutely loves and then other people. She just doesn't like for the get-go and we have to keep her separated. Not to mention children. She absolutely hates children all but my nine-year-old grandson. She hates my other grandchildren. 😔 I soo wish Caesar would help. I have 3 Rottweilers My two males are good. Besides I want male pools non-stop on a leash. Can't get them not to but both of them are very friendly. It's just my 8 year old female.

Gracias!

My hound is very similar. I don't see it as a problem. She is simply telling other bitches that she "Don't want no bitches round her man." In other words, her behaviour is protective rather than aggressive. I see the dog in the vid as being a bit boisterous, that's all. As and when my dog is aggressive, her front claws come out, and she rakes, & slashes with them.
