Commenting two months later seems like a fool's errand, but meh. I digress tho, Home Depot should sell electric trim saws or miter saws. However for such a small project probably not worth it. Kinda depends if you think you are going to keep using it for other projects. The guy at the store was being nice trying to save you money, but at the same time hand sawing things is the worst. I used to work for a hardware store, so I have had this conversation with customers a few times.
