You’re both beautiful. 💕 The best thing I ever did for my mental health was delete Facebook, Snapchat, IG, etc. Even as a typically emotionally independent person, having the dependence on the attention of others sneak up on you can just be borderline debilitating at times. I just remember having good days or accomplishing things, posting about them (as we all had), and then getting depressed about it later on when I would look at everyone else’s posts and start feeling like my experiences were inferior. Such a weird feeling, but it really does just creep up and start to infect every aspect of your life if you let it. The first few weeks without those social media platforms was tough because muscle memory had me trying to open the apps on and off alllll day, I had major FOMO, but it was necessary for me to be able to have my own experiences on my terms. Definitely freed a part of me that I never knew existed. Keep smiling and keep on keepin’ on. ✌🏻
