I'm from Turkey, i'm born and raised muslim alhamdulillah but no word can describe how i envy my brothers and sisters from Nigeria after watching this video. Wallahi we have everything in terms of material wealth yet it's insufficient for us. We are not satisfied with it. Always chasing a better, more luxurious car or house. Look at how the Quran is sufficient for them. They are learning and memorizing Quran, their recitations brings tears to your eyes and their tajweed is immaculate. They have honored the Quran and Quran honored them.

Quite inspiring.. how long does it take the students to memorize the Quran.. is there a time frame for the students?

It varies. 2,3,4 etc. Some can even be less depending on the effort and time invested

Assalamu alaikum. Actually there is no time frame, it depends on the students time input and effort. There are various schools and systems. The first and oldest system was called tsangaya, that's what supported our Islamic learning since around 1345 AD when Islam became a state religion in Kano, in the hands of a Hausa king. Tsangaya system still exist and most common. Then came the Islamiyya schools mainly for kids in their neighborhoods and has school fees. Finally came the tahfiz schools some are boarding schools with school fees. Since about 1980s there sprang hybrid schools incorporating the so called western education. Now with young men looking for jobs do open these Islamiyya schools in various areas villages, towns, and cities. Alhamdu lil-Lah, we are getting more and more private teachers. The children are text heavily, primary schools in the morning then Islamiyya schools in the evening, some also take tahfiz schools after sunset.
