Peter was also the first KISS member I met at a convention 10 years ago and like no other. Was truly incredible how he made me feel like a longtime friend. Chatted me up a bit at the the table he was signing autographs at, then for the picture he gets up and goes next to the table for the pic. Continues to talk a bit, calls me a sweet guy and gives me a big hug. Our photo is us standing next to each other with my arm around him and his around me. Such a great experience.

I imagine this was precovid. People on line were talking about how Peter used to be more personable and up close prior to Covid. I imagine being his age Covid would be a game changer. I’m ok with him doing what he needs to do to feel safe.

Honestly dude, the whole time around Peter was surreal, both times, the photo-op and the signing. I didn't even think to pull out my phone and just audio record when he was in the next room playing drums just to get the audio of it and the people cheering in the room I was in afterwards. I was in a haze of anticipation. And when he was right in front of me actually touching things that are mine and looking at them, commenting them and then signing them. That was literally an out of body experience that I just could not even put into words. Have a great weekend man!

So Happy for you Brant. What a awesome memory you now have. I really Love the pic and as the years go by and you look at it and the memories it brings back and though brief you got to talk one on one with peter. That price of the pic will seem like a bargin. Now, as the years pass and when he eventually leaves us. Have a Good weekend and take care.

I met Peter at a record store in the early 90’s. I was 7 years old. Me and my step dad waited a few hours to meet him and got his 1978 solo record signed. Super nice dude. Back then you didn’t have to pay. I think the eBay flippers/resellers ruined it for everyone, Star Wars actor meet and greets are the same way. People who aren’t fans just go in with 20 of the same action figure and make someone sign all of them then they just get resold. The pay wall for meet and greets has become common for this reason.

Peter would be the only member that I would've ever cared to meet with the next person in the Kiss world being his ex, Lydia. And that probably being how well that I enjoyed her book, "Sealed With a Kiss". By looking at those pictures in the book, it showed the couple's travels, and told a great story. And to boot, Peter was ALWAYS a good dresser!! Times have changed so much and I would not have liked all the structure and hassle that you had to go through, but at least you did it. And he seemed to look better than that appearance he made last year with Ace. Even though you didn't get a real conversation with him, I would love it being you, that he made that comment about the Kiss doll! Got to love his honesty because he was outspoken to Aucoin when the merch was getting out of hand. I am glad you got to see him and got that tour book (them at their APEX) signed. You made the most of it Brant!

Starstruck I know what you mean. I met Gene Simmons. On my 40th birthday I went to Memphis and Graceland. He happen to be filming the family jewels show in Memphis. And I saw him in the restaurant about noon time. No one was in there not a soul. Just him so me and my wife and my two kids were small and went in and my wife asked him for a picture with me explaining it was my 40th birthday. And he couldn’t have been any nicer. Very very patient with us because my wife had forgotten the camera. And we used an old flip phone to take the pictures in, but I was stumbling over my words big-time and you have to remember this wasn’t planned. I’m sure you thought hey what am I gonna say to Peter? I didn’t know what to say to him. But I saw him doc and his son the entire weekend. I even photo bombed that episode. I’m in the episode for about two seconds if that lol. I’m really glad you had fun you deserve it.

Hi Brant, You have a great channel! Very sincere and very real! I've met all of the boys. Including all of the "non-originals"... My band has even opened for Ace, Peter, Bruce, and Eric all at different times! Pete, by far is the most down to earth and appreciative of his fans, but true be told, they're all pretty jaded. Unfortunately, Gene and Paul are a little too full of themselves, and Ace and Peter are both bitter and spiteful. It's so sad when you've been so supportive and have both money and emotional investment in a band and they look at you like a meal ticket... Anyway, I'm happy for you that you at least met Peter and had a decent memory to file away... Keep the faith and keep fighting the good Rock-N-Roll fight man! God bless and take care...

You definitely did better than most. You got up and out of your house and made a successful effort to not only see and meet with two icons but even play with them on stage! Too many people don't get up and GO FOR IT! Then they sit back and complain and regret that they never did anything like that! I'm really happy for you, man, and you should be proud of yourself! Nice Video. We were at the recent Mad Monster Expo due to horror passion. I'm a BIG KISS fan and noticed he was going to be in Atlanta. Your video states he was charging $80 per autograph? If you could only have one item signed by him, what would it be (if you didn't have something already purchased). I have several funko pops and the figures. I was thinking about ordering his solo album just for the autograph? Thank you for the review!
@InMyHead
@InMyHead 10 ай бұрын
He will sign the Funko pop and the solo album. He won’t sign books by other band members and the book nothing to lose. He feels he is misrepresented. He also will not sign represses of his solo albums past his 1978 solo album. And I think even at 80 per pop he limits things he will sign per person to 3. If you look on his website he has his “rules”. Thanks for watching.

What an awesome story and experience! I have meet Eric Singer 4 times Indy & Cleveland KISS Expos. 3 times by himself and once with Bruce Kulick, John Corabi and Karl Cochran all as E.S.P. I got various albums signed. In Cleveland on my birthday, i had Eric sign his Pearl Drums Signature Series snare drum he put out in 2002, and he signed it inside the drum at the 2007 Expo, and sang happy birthday to me lol. My wife told him it was my birthday haha. Bruce Kulick i saw 5 times. twice with Union hung out after the show and got cd's and pictures taken. various expos and one guitar clinic. All of these were back when they did not charge for autographs, now you need a loan to get things signed most times. I get it though. I would love to meet Peter as well. It would be so hard to decide what to get signed especially when you thought you had more options. Thanks for sharing you awesome experience!

My brother and I had a similar (but even worse!) experience when we paid to get a photo with William Shatner at NY ComicCon years ago. We also waited hours in line, but, whereas you entered from the side, so you could sorta see him, and Peter at least said "Smile", etc, we entered from BEHIND, and stood sort of diagonal/behind his shoulders, so we couldn't even see his face! He said nothing, and his handlers were telling us to stand in the squares. Well, I was like "the hell with this", and I stepped in front of him and faced him to get a look at him, and his handlers got all excited, shouting "please, get back in the box!", etc. I was like "I just wanted to make sure it was really him!" 😄 Then, like with you, it was "okay, please step this way", and it was all over. Our heads were spinning, thinking "that's it??" That was my first (and last) experience paying for a big celebrity encounter. The only other time I've done something similar: Alice Cooper appeared at a local car dealership in 2015, but there was no charge and he would sign one item for free. No photos though. So, I waited a long time, but had a really nice (and brief) exchange with Alice (we talked baseball), and he signed my comic book Marvel Premiere #50 from 1979. I had the guy in line behind me take whatever photos he was able as I talked to Alice, so I got a couple of shots for the photo album. But as he was taking them, one of the handlers did his best to block his view so he couldn't get a good shot.

Thanks for sharing that experience Brant. Too bad you didn’t get the solo album signed, but that 80 per signature can get out of hand and a little greedy in my opinion. I feel 80 per autograph is a little disrespectful to the fans. I understand charging, but they should have had a deal where you can get 3 things signed at one price. Sounds like a cash crab, but I know Peter didn't retire a multi millionaire like Gene and Paul, so I'm sure the money helps.

It's ridiculous that you have to pay 80 dollars per autograph. Wtf. Make it a hundred for the five. Shameful.

I admit I was shocked too but, no one else seems to be shocked. I guess paying 5o to 100 per autograph is the norm these days.
