Because there are thousands of street cats in Marmaris and Icmeler. This couple have already adopted two street cats, Brownie and Cinnamon. Each new adoptee has to be checked by a vet, vaccinated and, probably, treated for worm and flea infestations (these infestations are common among street cats in Turkey). Veterinary fees have risen in recent years in Turkey so each adoption will end up being quite expensive. This couple run a cat feeding station from their home (not shown on camera) as well as feeding cats they meet on the street. Apparently all this effort is not enough for some people, who expect the couple to operate an expensive cat adoption service as well.

​@crogeny Thank youuu. The comments asking them to take the cats home always upset me. They already do soooo much and you can tell a lot of the cats love them. Some people are never satisfied no matter how much good is done.
