I have the same problem, but I can assure you it's not the nose being crooked (they told me the same thing oh its your nose but no it's not), it's the mucus that's inside those canals (from old diseases, sugar etc). What I have heard from some skillful doctors, is that you need to find a good doctor (in Russian it's ЛОР) in a good clinic that have the equipment to clean the canals without surgery. Cuz surgery is the last thing, last resort. They will use some type of machine with some medicine or water mixed with something to push it through the canals and cleaning them from all the *SHT* lol I am in Mexico right now, so I don't know anything about their medicine but once I can, I will find a clinic with that equipment. Cuz all my old doctors told me that I need a surgery. But once you do it, the thing will reappear. So you'll have to do it again and again. Ask several doctors before you make the decision. 3 года на каплях это ужас. Без операций в России делают нечто, называемое "кукушка". In English it is Proetz displacement procedure. Google it and you'll see a video from the 1970s and the last article written in the 80s. Последний раз в США это делали 40 лет назад, наверное. Единственное, что в то время она была достаточно болезненной. В настоящее время появилось много современных наркозных препаратов , так что бояться не стоит.

The Russian medical system can be hit or miss but Novosibirsk is one of the best in the world. Granted they dont have that much experience with foreign born patients as say Moscow or saint petersburg but Novosibirks has some of the best doctors in Russia.

The correct term for the condition is a "deviated Septum". The septum is composed of mostly cartilage. The suregery to correct the deviation is simple and is performed in an outpatient setting usually under general anesthesia. Postop there is some blood drainage into the mouth though a compression bandage applied before you awaken does control the majority of that bleed. My mother had the procedure done in the USA and I accompanied her and stayed for her recovery.

We have a great surgeon here, in Russia. Just don't experiment with private commercial clinics - check them and their doctors properly. But the best way is ЛОР who will guide you to the specific state clinic. And don't be nervous - this is a simple procedure. Everything will fine.

You have a deviated septum and it's very common. Makes it harder to breathe and It causes blockage which causes infection. You should probably get it repaired sometime but hopefully they can get it cleared for now and you can get it repaired at your convenience unless you want to use those nose sprays for the rest of your life. I know you want to go to US if you need surgery but you can't fly with that pressure already in your ears. Besides your doctor seems to be very good .

Может у нее вялотекущая инфекция (отит). Я однажды в детстве простыл, а потом в самолете летел и уши нормально не разложило (заложены были). Кололи антибиотики. Можно посмотреть по анализу крови не превышены ли лейкоциты, моноциты итп.

Russia healthcare is definitely a hit or miss. It definitely depends on that are you need help with and a doctor. Some things could be done with a great quality even within that free insurance that every russian person(or person with a residence permit) has. Private clinics though while offering a great customer friendly"service" could actually do a bad job when it comes to do their main job. I mean in Russia you need some good recommendations and use common sense you just can't trust the system blindly, some people are good professionals and some could do bad job for years and still keep their jobs I mean it's a lack of checks and balances everywhere in Russia including the healthcare.

Кстати, есть ещё прекрасное средство российского (советского) происхождения! Это дыхательная гимнастика Стрельниковой. Previous person mentioned it's called deviated septum. It's not a big thing. I have been going through this most of my life. In North America doctor told me you can do the operation but no Guarantee . You might have still buzzing sound in the ears and pain pressure under the eyes like sinus pain can come back. So I didn't do operation. Let me tell you, what you need to do, you need change your diet. As Dr. Sabi said mucus is sign of your body is not healthy. You need change your diet. Eat healthy lots of fruits and vegetables. Stay away from meat and dairy product. And drink ginger tea, don't drink alcohol and coffee. Everyday walk for 15 minutes. Do that you don't even need operation, you will be fine. It's miracle soon as change my diet. Slowly every issue resolved automatically.

Если это искривление носовой перегородки,иногда делают операцию,мне делали в 17 лет. Но мне нужна была это операция, для поступление в вертолётное училище. От этого зависит весь вестибулярный аппарат. Обыкновенные люди,часто живут с этим всю жизнь. Но если это часто доставляет беспокойство,лучше сделать операцию(кстати,это не зависит от того где ты живёшь,в жарком или холодном климате).

Hi! Just to let you know, that if you get a septoplasty (surgical correction of a crooked septum) you may not be able to fly for a while. When I had mine done, I had to wait a month before I could fly in a plane again. Also, if you sing professionally, you should wait 6 months after your surgery before you sing again, otherwise you could jeopardize your vocal placement--it will be painful to sing with proper vocal placement for around 6 months after the surgery. Good luck with everything! I hope it all works out!

I just want to say that you're not crazy. I've had problems with my ears for years, actually just one ear on one side, where I kept hearing low but persistent sounds. I hope you find resolution, because with me I never really did, and it took years before it sort of went away or maybe my hearing got sufficiently worse to no longer notice, or maybe my brain finally tuned that s&%# out. If you do it in a private clinic in Russia, you will get better service and the same quality of care compared to the US. As long as you are ok with the language barrier, you will be in great hands. If you come back to the US, you will spend 75x. I am an American who lived in Russia for 5 years. I have nothing bad to say about the private clinics in Russia in multiple big cities. Do NOT go to a government hospital in Russia, but you know that :)

I have the same problem ringing in my ears and nose polyps .I had surgery to remove my polyps and straight my septum.I had crocked septum too.They operation is painful they get hammer to your nose to straight it. But I am struggling to breathe again as my polyps have grown back.Do you have nose polyps Vic ? I started getting earache because l blow my nose so hard trying to clear it.Same buzzing in my ear ,struggling to breathe and now ear infection .And mucus coming out my ear 👂 struggling to hear.Its funny as like you said my dad had allergies problems like you said your father did.Its not easy problem to solve buzzing in the ear.I am going for 2nd operation on my noise

Please, don't rush into any surgeries, especially since it's a very recent problem that you're having. This surgery that you're talking about it's a new fashion in the Russian medical world, they recommend it left and right to everyone. For me, it's a big red flag that your doctor recommended it for you. I'm not a doctor, but I have lots of experience with doctors and diseases. I suspect that you might have some mild inflammation, maybe in your nasal "system" and it creates mild pressure on your ears. You had a lot of stress lately with moving/travelling so that's why may be it takes more time to heal. You didn't have problems with ears before, so I doubt it's because of your nose. In any case, before any surgery and other invasive treatments, consult doctors in America, or at least in Moscow - there is a special institution for ears problems (better in America, I have doubts about professionalism of any doctor in Russia). Although, it seems to me, that with rest and calm - it may go away on it's own.

Sounds like you have a deviated septum ( the central piece that divides your nose into 2 nares its called septum). The pain on the right and left side of your face could be from sinus pressure... ask the doctor to explain these two things to you

Get an MRI. You may have a sinus infection and need surgery. It is called FESS Functional Endoscopic Sinus Surgery. I don't know if they do it in Russia but I've had it in the US. Выздоравливайте!

You need an ENT, ear nose and throat doctor. You may have an infection or sinus issues. Have you tried saline? Stay out of the pool unless using ear plugs. You may have a Deviated septum. I would not get on a plane because of the pressure, but I think you need to go back home if they are saying surgery. You may need a strong antibiotic.

This is who she visited. In Russian such doctor is called LOR (otolaryngolog) or ukho-gorlo-nos (translates exactly like ear-throat-nose). Why do you suggest her to go to USA? You sounded like there are no strong antibiotics in Russia? There is no shortage of appropriate medication in Russia and cost of this procedure can be from free to only several hundreds bucks not thousands like in USA. They just need to go to the right clinic.
