Such a great, refreshing, and honest comment video. Love your simple style and attitude. Most get caught up with the biggest, best, fastest, most expensive cult. So much down grading of the Himmy on youtube...but I think for those who actually own one...the positive views outweigh the negatives. I just bought a 22 Himmy here in the U.S. After owning several nice bikes I find the simpleness, smooth torque, low seat height, and easy maintenance really a niche that some overlook probably because of ego. I'm looking forward to finding some of the Himalayan community you talk about. Cheers!

@@Ride_XP hi Aaron, the Ducati i have is actually the scrambler 1100 so you could say I’m into scramblers, but they are totally different still. I decided after a while the 1100 was no way capable of off road as it’s to top heavy and not enough suspension travel, but what it is very good for is twisty roads, so I lowered the bars put some sticky tires on and a few other modifications and it’s become more aggressive feel for them twisty roads. So that’s why i bought the scram, first I love the look plus it is lighter top end and longer suspension travel so it is a good platform to modify for off road. I must admit I’ve only owned it for 3 days and went out on it yesterday for the first time but I smiled all the time haha , so I’ll let you know my verdict once I’ve put a few miles on it. PS they look great together maybe I’ll do a video on both in the summer.

Just sold my DR650 and bought a 22 Himmy. Lower seat height, more fun to just cruise around town, and all I need for all the type of off roading I do which is forest and gravel roads. No regrets here but the DR is also a simple, easy to work on tractor. Although less power the Himmy is more stable and comfortable on the back highways too. You don't notice the extra weight because it's so down low and stable. Loving it so far.

Super different bikes. The T7 is a big and powerful machine, it will demand a lot of you off-road and give back as much. Also very top heavy and difficult to pick up. But that engine on it is bulletproof and loads of fun. Himalayan is wayyy less powerful and you'll eventually be able to maximize the bike's abilities, rather than you constantly trying to live up to it with the T7. It's much lower, lighter, and friendlier. If height isn't an issue and you want a bike with tons of ceiling for growth, go T7 I say. But if you want an easygoing, affordable adventurer, go Himalayan.

Hello If available in the Philippines, you should try the old Honda 600 (european) or 400 (japanese) Transalp. Heavier and taller for sure, but also with that torque that drives anywhere you want quite smoothly, and enough power to drive on the highways and pass trucks on regular roads.

Yes I do! But Ill keep it short. Perhaps what makes the Himalayan so beloved is that it really is enough bike for any pursuit. And if the owner is able to come to terms with that against desires for more of speed, power, status, or whatever drives their choices, then he can focus more on riding. And when he does, he becomes a better rider, making skill the factor for improved rides vs bike prowess. That kind of maturity cant be easily gained. It takes a lot of saddle time and personal character. And then you wouldnt be surprised appreciating the Himalayan more because the latter is something you’d find in common it.

Hmmmm, interesting 🤔 I had never thought of a bike in that way but you are right. In my country 🇲🇽 the preferred motorcycles for criminals are the Duke 390 and the MT07, and even if the other owner is a good citizen, he wiill most likely be a selfish uber competitive individual. I actually sold my first 390 for fear of it being stolen but now that I think of it I NEVER made friends with that bike, and my Duke 250 actually got stolen with less than 1000 kms… I’m so eager to buy a Hunter 350, I wish the character itself of the bike draws more disarable attention 🤷🏻‍♂️

Pass.." and I'm like. Grabe sila sa 400cc ko which is already fast enough and expensive to most people. But the liter bike boys only take their bikes to Marilaque or Tagaytay on the weekends? Hays. It's like liter-bike-track-bikes are the only bikes that gets the praises & most often than not their bikes isn't going to see any track time either.
