2 of my biggest fears. Being so broke that I'm living in a van down by the river, and being completely unaware that I have a mental illness. Your body turning on you like that IS a horrible thing to deal with.

If it's any consolation, I've done both separately as well as simultaneously. And I can attest that it's easier to pass the time while living in your car if you're unhinged for the duration. The best defense you've got when you're homeless is an authentic crazy eye, too. I found that copies of The Book of Mormon, Dante's Divine Comedy, Moby Dick, the apocrypha, and contradictory philosophy textbooks strategically placed upon my dashboard and passenger seat could be used to ward off cops. If a cup taps your window, roll it down and grin enthusiastically. Then immediately ask if they've "given any thought to the kingdom of heaven." The key is to appear exhilarated and really sell that you're dead set on converting them to something. After a few of them bail on that conversational prospect, word gets around that you're a harmless religious quack. Keep in mind, this was a small city strategy. Spokane, Washington homeless is a completely different obstacle course than Idaho homeless. Don't be afraid of mobile homelessness. Be afraid of becoming homeless in Idaho. Homeless less than 12 hours in Idaho before I was cuffed and naked in a freezing cell with a cracked skull. Drifted in and out of consciousness in med iso for a couple weeks. Inmate workers were tasked with cleaning blood and hair off the walls, and the female cop got her flashlight replaced at county expense. Seriously. The best advice I have for anyone in America is this: Idaho is a fuc*ing cursed realm to be avoided at all costs.

Yea Jordan definitely has his own style and original way of writing and narrating. It's great 👍

A lot of us are trying to figure out if the story was supernatural or if the person was having a mental break. As a lot of what he was going though could point to either.

This might be the one of more weirder of the stories that I've listened to on KZbin channels now that being said this one kinda feels like a story of those people who have to tell you they're a S.O before they move into your neighborhood... Of course I'm definitely certain that it's not actually that kinda story BUT more like a story of a guy having a psychotic breakdown/a guy who lives in a haunted apartment building...🤔 Just had a thought what If the MC goes out and buy some bags of marbles and a slingshot and just starts firing them at those "neighbors" who are stairing at him....😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣

My man didn't realize the guy standing outside Bed Bath and Beyond wasn't a cashier. One unfortunate miscommunication later, our dude was heading home to a tub of bath salts and a hero's journey. A heart-warming suburban tale of a successful community effort to be more attentive to neighbors. *Audible, jaunty christmas jingle*

Happy New Year to you too Jordan. Wow! That poor man. I don't understand why his doctor didn't get him in a six week stay at a mental health hospital and get his meds straghened from the get go but then we wouldn't have had this horrifying story. As always Jordan, you really brought this story to life with your voice acting. Thank you Jordan. Keep up the great work ❤

I moved into a new apartment complex with a lot of retired people, and those down on their luck. And I had a monitoring spirit in a neighborhood. And a few others that always watched my comings and goings. And would often try to get me to engage in gossip. Now, 9 months later, it has settled down into a normal Living environment.

finally a story bout me watching them watch me watching them watching me watching them watch me watch them..... hahaha... sadly this is very similar to sum1 i used to hang out with. i tried helping her understand that none of it was happening by pointing out obvious reason why no one can be standing in the top of the trees without the tiny branches instantly snapping or looking at her thru the walls. i even asked her to show wer she seen sum1 watching her and i would walk over to wee she pointed to prove no one was there. the amount pictures vudeos she took on my phone im still finding pics and deleting them. this story makes me sad knowing theres nothing i could do or say to help her. hopefully shes doing good now without me around. cuz mayb i was the problem sumhow. i dont know good story. sorry for the rant.

What annoyed me most was when he said more than once he "had that dream again" but then never tells what the dream was about. What annoyed me 2nd most was wondering if he will die of dehydration & starvation or will he give himself a heart attack before the psychiatrist gets the cops to break down his door. I don't care of it's all in his head or real, I just want him to shut up. I guess that makes it a realistic story, cause I want to knock some sense into him by the end. 😂

I’m a huge fan of the channel so don’t take this the wrong way. I did not like this one. It took everything I have in me to not stop listening halfway through. Being dragged along into someone’s psychotic break is not the subject matter I want to take part in. Hopefully this doesn’t become a thing.

God, what is scary about this is I live in an apartment block, and I had to call the cops on my neighbor who went paranoid/crazy watching people from the hallway windows and one night he had a knife on him and boasted to me he was going to 'give it to someone that night, because people were watching him back and tormenting him'. Trouble was, he was crazy. There was nobody there when I looked at what he pointed at. He then said I was the enemy too after calling the cops on him for having a blade in his pants and his constant complaining about not caring if he went back to jail for using it, that his life didn't matter about being arrested, and in his words 'somebody had to be the hero to the people'. 😟 He had to have his feet tied together that night by the cops. Not just cuffed. I stay away from him now and told him I was not happy with him after his hospital stay and recovery. 😟
