Hi Erika! I' m getting so frustrated when I follow one of your tutorials; when you color your sketches, isolating the lines using the alfa layer. “Color sketches digitally”. I would be so happy if you could just slowly go through the steps, when you choose your scanned drawing; in order to choose different colors for the lines. I really like your channel, but could you please help me out with another video I’m using Photoshop 2021, and don’t know if the tools are different. Thanks Karl from Sweden

Hi Karl! That was one of the first tutorials I made and I'll admit, watching it back I didn't explain it very well, I was still new to making videos! 😅 In fact, I personally don't use that method anymore. I would suggest checking out some of my Behance livestreams where I use the most up to date version of Photoshop. I also just made a Beginner's Photoshop course on 21Draw where I walk you through how to color a traditional sketch digitally! Here are the links to both of those! @@erikathegoober Thanks Erika for the quick reply. I have a background from a more traditional art school. Therefore there’s a huge leap for me; not using real paint anymore. Working with Photoshop as a drawing-program is something entirely new for me, but it’s fun. I managed to work out your method after some time (transferring original drawing to digital). My version of Photoshop is in Swedish of course; sometimes it takes time to find each command, because it’s in a different language. I’m really grateful for your videos because this is the first contact I have with drawing digitally. I’ve been painting/drawing my entire life, and I’m now 45 years old. This is something really new, but I’ll have to re-program the way I think applying colors: It’s not the same thing building a painting from scratch. I will continue to subscribe to your channel. I was so surprised that you moved your furniture in before you painted! Seeing you use your iPad to try and figure out your colors was kinda cool! I would have had to move the furniture back out because I cannot work around it! Looks pretty good I believe that you made a good decision on the color! I also just finished painting my room I feel your pain on the low paint! When I ran out I just grabbed a thing of sample paint of the colour I needed for my wall it saved me from having to buy a full gallon again for a 4ft spot on my wall 🤣

Erika, I had to go back and watch this video again, because at the end of this month I will be moving and will finally have a space to devote to creating my own studio work place.
