I’m starting to plan a move to France hopefully within the next few years and I’d love to be friends with you! I have so many questions and if you’re still in France when I move I could use some friends! I’m currently learning French now and just trying to figure out a good amount of money to have saved and how I’ll find a place to stay before even leaving the US and so on! 🥰

When I am older I would really like to go to university in France, you are literally living my dream! I’m so proud of you :)) I was wondering though, what was the process like of trying to find an apartment and job and stuff? If you could answer I would be so happy, thank you!

Aw that makes me so happy to hear! To clarify I am doing a study abroad semester as part of my university degree so I’m only living here for 4 months and taking classes. My school has the option to do this so you should look into programs that have that option if that’s something you’re interested in! It’s a pretty seamless process as I was able to get a student VISA for about 6 months. I’m also not working in France as I’m on a student VISA not a working VISA and I was thankfully able to save up money through prior internships to fund my time here. As for the apartment there’s a lot of rental websites with landlords that will rent to students so it wasn’t too difficult - all we had to do was provide ID, proof of funds, and proof of university enrolment - living on campus is also a good option!
