Hey Girl, so glad to see you again. You are so funny with the food and stuff. I am from Louisiana, hope you can visit there too. But I am from northern Louisiana (now living here in D.C). But if you are in your feelings about New York summers, girl. Texas summer is a whole new animal. Hot AF LOL. But there are some great beaches in the outlying areas, like Galveston Beach which isn't far from Dallas. Talking bout the pavement melting, don't go to HOuston. But Texas in general has at least 4 different ecosystems, desert, mountains, a little rainforest near the Coast. Good food. Check out Austin if you can. I am so happy for you. Texas might give you those Mexico vibes too. Be safe and have fun. I will live vicariously through your journey. Love you.

It’s beautiful out here and very woodsy . Meet my fiancé out here and he takes good care of me!! 🥰! For feminine black women Texas is a safe state! Don’t believe the lies about the racism. It’s actually mild here. My fiancé is white and many of my friends are white. I never had any racist remarks shouted to me here. Been here since 2019.

I do think it’s worse driving in Dallas areas compared to Arlington, Fort-worth, and North of Forth worth areas ( Denton, Flowermound, Northlake , etc ) but I digress 😂!

Thank you Debbie, Appreciate you taking the time to watch the vlog ❤️ I am sure you can understand how exciting it is to try new food places in a new city, state. And also finding my new spots in my new city. you mentioned that I ordered so much food, where & when? I had a sandwich and a pancake on the side because I have been living at home and my mom only cooks haitian food, so i have not had pancakes for over a year. I was craving some. I had ONE as an add on to a breakfast sandwich. I am more of a savory breakfast person but if I want something sweet, then I'll add a Pancake on the side. Hope that's okay with you. And I'd eat the leftovers the next day if I had more food. Mind you i was doing so many fasts during that time so you only see just a couple days of me eating. I was coming off a 3 day fast of only water when I landed in Texas, and I did another one just a week later Yes people who struggle with their weight can still eat and enjoy food. My weight gain is hormonal not food related. I did not even eat enough before, I had to start adding one more meal a day to my diet to help with the hormonal changes and it's a struggle because It's too much food for me. Hope this help

@@dadouchic DC area (incl VA and MD) are great. Gives me a good balance of city and suburban life. I get to stay in the east coast but get a taste of southern hospitality. Also DC is very multicultural and I'm a global girlie so love it. if you've never been to the DC area, I highly recommend!

Not trying to be negative… But, as a Caribbean woman living in the DFW area… TX is NOT it. There is barley any good Caribbean restaurants/grocery stores etc. The summertime heat is BRUTAL, not much to do outdoors during the daytime, which includes running regular errands. Oh, and horrible politics… I could go on and on… But, enjoy your new city. ❤

I can't stand rice and beans, even when i lived in haiti I had to eat plantains and survived on cookies everyday as child because I could not stomach rice daily. The DFW area has the best food and so diverse, I can't believe it, wayyyy better than New York! I'm no stranger to heat, I lived in Haiti for almost 19 years where it's 90 degrees 365 days a year with NO Electricity, NO AC, NO Running water, I think I'll manage. I don't involve myself in world politics, Jesus Christ is king! There are so many parks here, i've been able to get back to my healthy habits, picked up running. luxury apartments with gym, pool and not paying 3k a month for a shoe box. Winning in my book. Honestly, the DFW area exceeded my expectations. I did not think i was going to like it, but God knew exactly what he was doing when he moved me here. Thank you Angelle. I understand you miss the old styling videos. As I have shared in previous videos, I've been living at my mom's and all my clothes in storage for almost a year so I can't do any styling videos. Plus my mom's place did not have space for me to create content. And also I had gained some hormonal weight & did not fit a lot of my clothes so I've been working on that instead of buying a whole new wardrobe. My styled had also changed a bit. The dresses were really fun during the pandemic, now I'm enjoying more laid back dressing. Maybe the South will bring them out of me again! Who knows? I am not sure if you had a chance to watch this video yet, but yes I am doing amazing, just moved to Texas from New York and getting settled. Have a blessed day!
