Studies say women with degrees increase their chances of marriage. Also having a job online allows black women to travel more. As a person who has completely leveled up I approve this message. A female CEO once told me men will go for promotions when they’re 50% qualified to do the job while women tend to wait until they’re 85% qualified. This keeps us at lower levels and earning less. I never forgot this when I went out for promotions. She was right. I got every one I wanted and a higher salary than what was initially offered. Ask for more money and reach for the higher position. Live below your means ladies!!!! If you take nothing else, please do this. My husband and I do very well ourselves now but for most of my 20’s when everyone went on endless brunches and bought be outfits for every trip and event, I proudly re-wore my clothes in new ways and skipped brunch/dinners. Now in our 30’s, some of those folks are in debt trying to keep up this lifestyle for almost two decades. Learn from this, there’s no need to keep up with people on social or those in your friend group.

I’ve been around for 6 decades and have retired from two jobs. I’ve also been fortunate to work with people in the 7 figure area. As you know, you take NOTHiNG w you when you die at an underdetermined time. My point: I’ve watched people, including family members and peers, save and save & invest, and save only to die and leave all their wealth for someone else to enjoy. Kids brag about their parents leaving them money and no sooner than parents are buried, “many” not all, go on lavish shopping spears buying luxury cars, taking lavish vacations, etc. I’ve worked w people who give their 10 year old grandchildren 5-10k for birthday presents saying “what else am I going to do with my money?” I’ve also watched men’s wives day and w/in 6 months to a year after the wife’s death, men have younger wives and girlfriends lavishing them w whatever they ask for. Women whose husbands die, I’ve seen them do the same. In my own family I’ve seen the same behavior. I say”Live life to the fullest and prepare for retirement as you do not know your day of death!”

Once again Chrissie you give a mindblowing video full of promising advice. One of the first things I did when I leveled up was move away from the black community. I love my people, but some black folks are simply not good to have in your space. Next, as much as it hurt me I needed to let go of childhood friends that I knew would forever be stuck on the plantation of pain poverty, and struggle love. Finally, I made the choice to do better, and be better, and be very selective about what type of women I befriend, and what type of men I choose to have in my life. In addition to all that I got my money, mind, and body right. Leveling up is a deep process but once you get it done you're good to go.

I deleted all social media accounts and became tunnel focused on my goals. The sacrifices you speak of are very real. I moved states and cut friends and family off cold turkey. I am not dating, but I do have a sponsor. I am socially selective. I am definitely connected with the divine, hence the steps I took to get where I am today. I live six minutes close to the beach and my biggest expense is my $1800 rent that just increased to $1900 because I renewed my lease. I just bought my second LV bag, and I’m 31. I love luxury items, but they’re not a priority. I used to spread my level up journey, but instead of ppl being happy for you, they’ll despise you. Ladies, level up and silence and let the results speak for themselves. You can have that soft life as a black woman, but it will definitely take sacrifice.

Hey queen! Do you have any tips on how to cut off social media?I’ve been trying to do that for YEARS and I always end up redownloading my social media apps, especially when people are sending me videos😫
@Kojic4146 ай бұрын
@@bea3045 Hey Queen! Someone (my partner, it wasn’t intentional, it was true) hurt my feelings and reminded me that my bank account isn’t equivalent to my followers - to put it short. That gave me a reality check, so I deleted them off my phone, iPad, and computer cold turkey. Now I’m taking these next six months to focus on a larger goal that will place me in a position to win by 2025. Social media will always be there. So, unless you’re making money from it… disregard it. Moderation is key.

Everything you mentioned, I’ve either done already, in the process currently or is on the agenda to do. To the point where it’s scary but in a good way. I’m on the right track and it’s nice to hear your advice as reassurance ❤️

Hey Chrissie! I remember when I was first introduced to your channel, you had this femininity how-to playlist that addressed everything from clothes, shoes, hair, language, etc. I know you moved a lot of your videos. Can you make those playlists available again? I could really use a refresher.

I'm a creative type so after this year If my art doesn't sell I'll have to go back to another style of work for awhile which I'm okay with. I'm definitely trying to plan on what to do for my older years now that I just want to focus building a smooth path to contentment for the golden girl living I'm planning for. Chrissie you are definitely helping us with things we might not think of ❤

I’m a creative too. I want to sell paintings for a living but I don’t know how well that will work for me… I’m going to shoot for a career in arts administration like working in a museum or something. Keep your options open and don’t be a starving artist however you create💗

Great advice Chrissie!! Under networking, I would add joining professional and high level social organizations. A game changer for me was pledging a D9 organization. I instantly had a tribe of like minded black women that encouraged me, supported me, pushed me and help develop many skills that I possess today. I am also an active alumni of the university I attended. Other organizations that helped me on my level up journey were Black MBA Association, National Association of Black Accountants, NextUp Women Empowerment, etc. As you make more money, be more intentional about where you travel as well. Yes, I travel overseas and to the islands but I also vacation in Martha’s Vineyard and the Hamptons. I have gone skying in the Poconos. These are great places to meet likeminded people that can open doors for you.

Recommendation - Can we get a video on black women and passive income outside of influencing? I’m seeing a lot of women using their luxury apartments and lifestyles to become influencers but we aren’t considering the other paths to creating passive streams of income.

One of the biggest things that get in my way regarding my level up journey is I procrastinate to avoid change. I have done this every time I am expected to transition to the next level. I have my "little" license and have been approved to take the test for my "big" license and refuse to study. My C.V. in my field is very diverse and would definitely land me a better paying job but I keep telling myself the reason I haven't applied anywhere else is because I am in the last year of getting the remainder of my student loans paid off (which is true). I need to read more books on complacency and procrastination. I am allowing others to make decisions for me when I wait until I am forced to make a move. I keep hoping for a mentor because I am definitely needing some support.

@@sydlaw2941oh ok . What works for me when I have a big test to take Is to sign up for a prep class. It forces me to be on a schedule to study . If it is financially feasible I recommend it. Also finding a study partner helps . Find a social media group who might be on the sane path and their topic might be motivation .
