For your information: the song is called “Maknae on top” basically meaning “youngest on top”. So “the boss” in the song is actually youngest member of the group Stray kids, called by his stage name I.N. The song is self-produced by three featuring members, so it’s under the “SKZ player” logo. It is basically just kind of comedy-irony, because in Korea youngest usually have to show a lot of respect to the elders. (The two other people in the video are their leader BangChan, who made the beat, and main rapper Chanbin)

Just for some context! In Korea, respect is very age oriented, so if you're older than someone (even by a year) you have more authority and usually treated with respect by those younger than you. In KPop you will often see/hear "maknae" (막내) which means the youngest of the group/family. In this case, I.N is joking about the fact that even though he is the youngest member of the group he's still "on top" which is why you see him bossing around two of his older members from Stray Kids (Bang Chan and Changbin). It's just a light-hearted joke that both the group and the fans have lol Also another word you'll hear a lot once you watch videos that show interactions between members of a group is "hyung" (형) which is a term that males use towards another male that is older than them. This term basically translates to "older brother". Hopefully this helps the video make more sense! Love your guys' reactions!

In terms of K-pop, it usually refers to someone who debuted earlier than whoever's speaking. So, for example, Chan will refer to Twice as "sunbae-nim", even though he's older than some of them, and frankly more _experienced_ than most of them. But they debuted before he did, so they're sunbaes.

This song is awesome Changbin wrote it for I.N bc he feels like he partly pretty much raised him up and Chan produced beats n helped in making song then I.N found out and said he wanted to help make the song so three them bonded and made it .It's a bop and Macknae means youngest member of group .I.N also said if other macknaes from other groups hear hope they enjoy relate to it and find comfort that it will be alright n basically it's all good

This channel casually used "chinky" as a descriptor like it was normal (@). they came up on your backs with kpop an hasnt publicly taken ownership for why that word is problematic. I wasnt trying to be this severe across all their vids and tried to contain it but THEY DOUBLED DOWN. They DOUBLED DOWN citing "perception" and stating "positivity is a higher faculty" and gaslit us for focusing on the "negative". Since when has casual use of chink and chinky ever been acceptable? When has calling someone out hoping for accountability been deemed "negative"? Doubling down instead of taking ownership is so much worse and it crushed my soul to see many in the comment section ignoring it. The chance to address it was missed. I could never empathize with anyone who doubles down after being called out because, at the very least, you have a chance to say that thats all youve ever known. Im not so dense to not understand how normalized this word it but to double down is what i take issue with. This word was used to verbally attack me in school for the way i look and the food I ate- im positive im not the only one whos been on the receiving end of this nasty word.
