get yourself a full canopy for the back , it doubles the living area in the winter and rain

Great video Steve. Glad to see you’re keeping well. Is there anyway you can insulate the boat at all? I know it’s a little different, but for our diy campervan we used some closed cell insulation. Comes on a big roll from eBay & is adhesive on one side. It made a huge difference to the heat/cold transfer rate. Have you looked at a diesel heater? But be careful as there was the 2 guys from York who died on their boat due to CO poisoning. I’ve got one in my van & have an alarm too. I’m always paranoid, so will never leave the heater on overnight or anything. But I get the van to a nice toasty temperature before bed & then I just turn it back on with the remote when I wake up again.

Hi Robert, thank you. Hope you both and Simba are doing well! Insulation for the boat is tricky due to balance etc but I have a small electric heater which works great, I forgot to bring it! Next time, I'll have the heater and more duvets.

@ oh I never thought about anything like that. Any excess/uneven weight to one side would make it lean & at risk of capsizing with a rogue wave at sea. Hopefully the duvet & heaters will do the job. Simba is doing great for now. He is booked in for his operation on 24th January. So hopefully after a couple of weeks to recover, he’ll be back to his old self. Thank you once again for your support & help towards getting his operation. We really appreciate it mate. Really, really appreciate it.

Please dont live full-time on that boat !!!! You seem to have a good heart , it would be a shame to lose you ! Pneumonia is the biggest killer for boaters living on fibreglass cruisers !!!
