I love how you scan through the detail of the animation, because as Multimedia Student, I was really amazed by the Animation details in the MV is amazing. Personslly I think its Rotoscoped, but either Rotoscope or Green Screen, they stilk animated it so well like daym.

I think you're doing great with your model. I've never noticed anything wrong. I absolutely love this song, & the video is so creative! It's good to see actual music videos again for songs. I feel like we only got lyric videos and really basic stuff for a long time. As for how to say Marine's name: think of water. She has a pirate theme. So it's pronounced like the English water related term. Aquamarine. Marineland. Marina. That kind of thing. :) Keep up the great reactions!

100% Rotoscoped, where you take existing footage and animate over it, a lot of old disney used this technique to get fluid animation while dancing, for example the dancing in Jungle Book / Robin hood of the merry men. The current top of the industry is indeed Hololive. They have had LIVE 3D concerts with the model projected on stage in front of tens of thousands of people. That said even indies can go hard with concerts, recent ones that spring to mind would be Shoto X Usan's recent dual concert in thailand Vshojo has been going pretty hard with ironmouse releaseing several original songs in the last 6 months and even a Mute (for anonymity reasons) Vtuber Zentreya who communicates though Speech to Speech programs being able to sing thanks to additional programs and a sound engineer. On that note, Apricot (froot) x Zentreya singing Rainy Day or Color Blind would be a good example, Zentreyas solo songs of Face My Fears or "I Really Want To Stay At Your House" from cyberpunk edgerunners. Henya X Haruka's Umbrealla for something super wholesome or if you want something more chaotic Ironmouse with her original songs; Anarchy, Sour Taste, Devil or Rodent's Kingdom. If you want to go even deeper down into the Tech side of things Neurosama singing Lagtrain or playing "Keep Talking And Nobody Explodes" with her Creator and programmer Vedal. Yes. A Fully functioning AI vtuber that can roast people based off of image files and reacts to chat and people in VC.

The animation is rotoscoped, in the upsidedown shot shortly after the shoe throw, you can actually see the actor under suisei that was drawn over. I imagine for the ballroom shots they could just use the rotoscope layer an hide the underlayer since it doesn't need to directly mingle with the live actors as much. You can see it more clearly if you use the "" keys t move the video 1 frame at a time. They also move the real life actors and the animated elements at a different framerate to cut down on rotoscoping work since its extremely tedious, so i'm really impressed with how well the animation and live action intermingle despite that. Its shot like a 1 take but i think there is a hidden cut everytime the camera rotates around, so they can stitch together shots where the real life actor is hidden with the ones where they are visible. It a technique used a lot in Film where some forground element wipes across the screen, and the filmmakers can cut that element out of the image to hide the stitches behind it. For scenes like where suisei is dancing at the end, they probably went through every frame and painted out the real actors head and hands manually so you wouldn't see them under the drawing that is done on top. That sequence also moves only every 3rd or 4th frame to cut down on how often they have to do that repainting the background and then painting suisei on top since its a lot of work.

You should totally watch "I'm your treasure box" from Marine of Hololive Gen 3. Honestly any of her Originals are really good. Ahoy is a banger and "Bishoujo Muzai" original has amazing animation.

Loving the reactions! I’ve noticed that with each video the tracking of your model seems to improve, so whatever you’re doing it’s working! I’d like to suggest two videos on Axel Syrios’ channel: Bad End Night and Mr Shadenfreude. Axel himself is a great singer in his own right, but these two songs are big collaborative songs he organized with a bunch of other members of Hololive. And since you seem to really like MVs and the stories they tell, I think they’d be right up your alley!

Suisei! Suisei! Suisei! No body will ever convince me that she is not the greatest talent in Hololive (and likely the Vtuber sphere). Not being able to speak/read Japanese is the only reason I don't call her my favorite since I can't really engage with her content without translation. For as amazing as this song is, even it is overshadowed by just how great the video is.

This song is awesome, but this video is what I keep on loop. Hololive has a lot of different music in it. Hell even some of the talents jump across some genres. Mori is definitely one to check out, along with more Suisei. Tokoyami Towa has some awesome songs as well. Beware the Suisei Rabbit Hole - she is one of the MOST prolific music makers in hololive. Also one of their OG's; She's been with Hololive nearly from the beginning. And now, she sells out concerts, has gone on the First Take (first vtuber ever to do so), and is one of the 2 Hololive members to have a big studio music contract (Mori Calliope being the other one).
