I actually went to animation class and basically the FPS range doesn't really matter, all it really matters is how you're gonna animate your frames! For example I want to animate a turning head First frame will be the side profile Second frame will be the turning point Last frame is the finishing point You would soon add small changes on each frames depends on how you want it to look

24 fps is standard not just for animations, also for films and tv shows. Animations uses 2s and 3s typically to make animations not move at light speed. It means that for every 1 second of animation, 2s means that theres only 12 drawings per second. 3s have 8 drawings. You can achieve this in your animation by making 1 drawing occupy 2 or 3 spaces of frames, idk how to do it the software you use because I use a more advance software, But I think duplicating each and every frame once 1 by 1 should work, if its still too fast try duplicating it twice.

Hello! I am currently working on my own indie animated series Pip and Friends and i use 14 fps for the most part but sometimes use 12fps for smaller and shorter movement. The key is using squash and stretch and keyframes to make the movement better in your animations. I hope this message helps :)

I typically use 12 frames for my animations, but otherwise I think it’s just going to take even longer than you expected because you’re gonna have to draw a lot of in between frames
@Wolfs-Bane_lАй бұрын
For really any movement, you should have key frames these frames you should draw first, and it’s where big movements happen like a character suddenly moves their head very quickly or their tail thrashes around and then you tween that by drawing all of the in-between frames
@Wolfs-Bane_lАй бұрын
Also always make sure that when you are drawing fast movements that you start off, drawing them somewhat slow and then speed up and squish and splash it just a bit, not too much and then they slow down and may be rebound a little bit

I personally haven’t done it, but if you get more advanced software on the computer, I believe you’ll be able to rig a 2-D model and then layer it so that when you move one bone on the model, it’ll move the rest of the model like it would in 3-D, but I don’t know how to do that

If you want to make a scene go by really quickly and it’s like a short scene you can take different cutouts of your character and pit in like CapCut InShot or flipaclip
@Wolfs-Bane_lАй бұрын
And the way you would cut it out is everywhere. There is a joint that you want to move you start from that joint and leave a little bit behind it and then everything up until the next joint that you want to move

Coming from an animator with experience on Flipaclip for a long time,Here is a tip if you want smoother animation: It depends on how fast you want the character to move or how often it changes scenes/how smooth. The more smoother/often changing scenes you want to have the more fps (i recommend 14-16fps) for fast moving actions,while you might need to animate more frames,it will be worth it with the final result!👍🏻 Regarding the fps,I don't recommend 19-20 fps unless you plan on animating a fast animation or adding many many frames in between each movement of your character 🥹💦,if you want to make your animation look good,lower the fps,that way,you will require lesser frames to animate the whole animation! I hope this helped and please ask me anything if it's too confusing 🫶🏻

If you wanna make the walking slower, make the movements more slight. If the difference between two consecutive frames is too large, you’ll be walking too fast. Also, just find an fps that you’re comfortable with. What other people can do doesn’t matter as long as you can find something you’re good with and make it look great :) note: smooth animation also takes a LOT of time. smooth doesn’t always mean good, sometimes choppy looks just as great :)

fps doesnt seem to be the issue here, if you make the body move more vertically it could turn out better, as whenever i find my anims too sluggish exaggerating certain parts of the body can help make it feel more natural. keep in mind that what may work for me might not for you but i think in general it helps to remember that animation doesnt necessarily have to be realistic as long as it stays close enough to be believable.

Maby you can smear frame? (Love your animations there amazing)

You can either use 19 fps or 20 fps! If you use 20 fps, remember to animate breakdowns and inbetweens. I also dont really know much about animation and fps, but i recommend you use 19 fps!
