I completely relate on the phone thing!!! I found during last school year if I just put it down when we started and left it alone, I did SUCH a better job at doing what I needed to do. Loved this video and the encouragement! Hope you reach those goals and enjoy your year!

Thanks for posting. We are struggling over here with our schedule, me wanting them to fly through because I have things I also want to do that I enjoy, and setting expectations. It feels pretty chaotic these days 😢

I am right here with you! I have my phone and my laptop in the living room and have all calls but those who know we are in school and do not respect our school time are blocked. It's a little bit of work to block and unblock but so worth it. I see the days go so much smoother ....

I speak to my kids about if I give extra time they need to get the work done!!! Being an ex pre school teacher I learned to make goals and targets individual!!!

Thank you for this video! I can use some work on a few of these as well. Definitely going to set some goals for myself for this next school too!

Yes it’s really been helpful to look at how I can improve instead of only focus on how my kids can

I love your honesty ! Mom guilt is real and we can always improve our intentions. I’m working on everything you mentioned in our homeschool and it feels great to see change and improvement. Love your videos ❤️

Does it feel like other moms go through these seasons that get really hard and don’t flow? This is our fourth year. My son has adhd and my daughter is a slow learner and has speech aproxia. It’s been a really terrible first month back into school. I have been on my knees every morning because when i get irritated and have to repeat the fourth time I feel like I’m going to blow a gasket. Please tell me I’m not alone. I appreciate you sharing this!

You’re not alone! My oldest has adhd and is on the autism spectrum. Some days, he really flows with me…other days are so hard. We haven’t started the school year yet, and I’m excited but also exhausted. We need to remember we are enough, even when we feel weak. Let His strength lead the way. 💖

You are definitely NOT alone. Some years are harder then others but the fact that your on you knees in prayer is a good sign and God will help you through this.

You're definitely not alone. I've been there. This is my first year homeschooling and it's been.. a learning curve! I would encourage you to see who God says you are (if you're a Christian, and even if you're not). That changed everything for me!!! My perspective changed (even when my circumstances didn't).

Hi, This is my first year homeschooling my 6th grade son! I also work full time, mostly from home so that adds to the... creative scheduling at times! I want to say that my #1 thing that I do every morning is my 'Jesus time'. That time with Him is vital. I want to be more present with my son, but some days I do feel like I'm pulled in multiple directions. I only have 1 child at home and some days have been "rough". Despite it all, I'm so glad to have made this decision. We are all in this together! Jesus is my anchor and I'm learning and growing to walk out who He created me to be. As I focus on Truth, I'm more clearly able to set up boundaries and structure for my son (working on that). We are still learning what works best and some days are super hectic, BUT I am so thankful for each day. I want to encourage those of you who feel like it's hard right now. He is with you.❤
