I know you're busy, so I don't expect you to comment. I just want you to know that I am praying for you and your daughter (and your entire family). My 14 year old also has a genetic condition (partial deletion on Chromosome 21q) and she also has a host of medical challenges, including needing a g-tube since she was almost two years old. Katie, thank you so much for making this difficult video. I needed to hear this. I have Rheumatoid arthritis, so I am in pain almost constantly. I also have Crohn's disease. I don't sleep well at night, so I deal with a lot of fatigue. I have been homeschooling my boys for the last few years, but it can be very challenging. This was our first week of the new school year for two of our boys (one will be going to a private Christian school this year). I ended up having an arthritis flare up, so it has been a very tough week. I stumbled across your video and it touched me deeply. I will be praying for your sweet Rachel. I really appreciate the reminder that God doesn't change. I have been struggling with a lot of frustration because my body doesn't work like it used to. Every time I am tempted to grumble and complain, I will think of Rachel and pray for her. God bless your sweet family.❤

Oh my goodness, my heart breaks for you because I understand so, so well. We've had HARD things from '20-this year - nearly losing our youngest and my husband several times with health things. It's so, so much deeper than medical diagnoses when you see how your kids are struggling and when they ask hard things that you don't have neat answers for. Oh mama. Thank you so much for sharing. So many of us are going through rough times but when you hear these stories it’s incredibly humbling. I too, am in the midst of working up a mass on my daughter’s thigh, many of the same symptoms to no conclusions. I must say this: as a long time Sonographer…working at multiple healthcare facilities in SoCal. Please continue to pursue answers and never settle for they don’t know. Ask to be referred to at least 2 additional teaching hospitals. If they don’t know, they’re not going too. I’d also like to add, I suffered my entire childhood with severe joint pain. Long story short, I ended up with kidneys full of stones in my early 20’s. It took an additional 20 years before I was able to basically self diagnose and found that through exploratory surgery I had parathroid disease (very different than thyroid) I share this not give you suggestions but because all of my lab work was normal. It was a co-worker and my own research that we ended up finding a nodule in my lower neck. Again, I share this not give you my opinion but to share that sometimes we have to be our own advocate. And there’s never an excuse to tell a patient that they don’t know what’s going on. Sometimes we put too much faith in one particular healthcare system or group of physicians and they just don’t know. And that’s ok. But I can promise you this…there’s a hospital or doctor someone out there that does. Lifting you up in prayer right now. ❤

Girl your not alone , my mom got breast cancer so , I pack everything and move whit my 4 kids to PR and take care of her doing homeschool, my husband is doing collage and working so is like I'm single. My husband got an infection in a kidney and went sepsis, I don't have family around so my kids where alone in the house most of the time ,my oldest is 15. And long story short by the grace of God, he makes it out after 3 weeks. The week later ,we found out that he needed a part of the kidney remove in a major surgery ,my sister flight here to help with the homeschool. But this year😅, it was awful but God always there

The wait for the tests and specialist was agonizing, and trying to be the strong positive mom was hard. My body was with my family but my mind was often elsewhere. It's a bone tumor but not cancerous. I feel for you so much because the worry and unknown can really eat away at you.

I watched and we can relate.my husband is in school too and then you talked about your medically complexed child we have a medically complex child too. This year for us was tough as well. We traveled hours round trip 2-4 times a week. We had no answers. Genetic test say yes there is an issue but we need more time it is a new genetic mutation we are researching. Retest. Wait list for doctors anywhere from 12-18 months for different doctors. I get the late conversations and all the unknowns. It is so scary. We are still going on our journey as well. We have a new specialist appointment the next end of August. I am thankful for my village. I know you don’t know me but I will keep you in your family in our prayers and every time I pray for my little guy I I’ll pray for your girl.
