After a hard night on the dance floor listening to Underground Resistance and tecno in a Rave all night this would be our chill recovery music..Coming down with a large group of old a new friends laying around on the floor having a choof and just ..well awesome shit.

I have a copy of this Roseland performance on DVD. One of the greatest concerts imo. Also have an autographed picture of Beth Gibbons over by my record player. Portishead is just so good. Trip hop in general is a fantastic genre.

I was lucky enough to be in high school in the 90s and work out some feels while listening to them. Soo good

Superb reaction to my favourite ever band - subbed 🙂. You do need to listen to Dummy im its entirety, but don't disregard their other two studio albums, in particular their most recent album 'Third' which is stylistically quite different but equally as awesome. Id recommend 'The Rip' from that record, it's beautiful. In terms of other underground music - check out a band from the UK called 'Fat White Family' really interesting, creative band from these shores 🇬🇧 'When I Leave' is a good jump off point 👍✌️

Longtime Portishead fan - Dummy is a masterpiece. Not underground but if you're open to something new to you that goes hard but is musically amazing and creative, I suggest checking out Tool. Start with The Pot or 46 and 2, see what you think.

It's one of those Gibson's that looks just like a casino. I think? And yes, the song is called 'Roads' because of, well, what you said. But it also has a double meaning as well.

There seem to be at least two versions of this track circulating on youtube. One has a lot of bass distortion - not sure whether this as added on purpose or someone just mucked up the equalizer settings. The other VEVO version is much cleaner and I think lacks most of the distortion. This sounds like the distorted version.

Adrian was known to play a lot of Gretsch guitars, not certain if that's one there or not

You wanted some alternative music from newer artists here's something underground and independent. Its over a year old but has relevance to things going on right now and was part of a project to release a single a week for a year. m.kzbin.info/www/bejne/fWm2oJKJjJdrhqM&pp=ygUaUHJheSBmb3IgcmFpbiAyIGxvc3Qgc291bHM%3D
