I can't believe this is already the last episode of my adventures in Madagascar... Time flew by! On top of that, I have to race to get back to the capital of Madagascar in time, because my flight out of the country is this evening and I still need to cover 450 kilometers over not-such-good-road (understatement!).. In the end of this episode I explain the unfortunate reason as to why I now have to rush like mad...

Many towns in Madagascar start with "A" because it's a common prefix used in Malagasy language to indicate a place or location. It's similar to how "ville" or "town" is used in French or English names. For example, "Antananarivo" means "the city of a thousand" and "Ambanja" means "the place where there are lots of banja trees." So, it's more of a linguistic convention rather than a specific reason tied to geography or history.

I've been following Itchi boots since the beginning. I wanted to react today following your episodes filmed in Madagascar. I know this country very well... When I saw the first videos, I said to myself "we have to warn her, she will surely get sick, her body is not immune to being able to drink and eat like the locals! !!", but I knew that the warrior was going to get through it, obviously... I wanted to write today to thank you for these few episodes which show only the good things in this country which has so many difficulties. Not once did you complain or criticize or make fun of the Malagasy people, you only had positive words. I especially remembered when you said in a natural way that "these people are strong and courageous" when seeing people pushing carts in the mud, in the rain. I deeply think that you have just understood everything about what life is. Thanks again, Norali!!

Thanks for the GREAT tour of Madagascar! For those that are interested in lemurs, in the area of North Carolina that I live we have Duke University. The university has the Duke Lemur Center, (located in a part of the university-owned Duke Forest) that since 1966 has been fulfilling its mission of performing research and conservation of lemurs. Information on the program can be found on YT and Facebook. In addition, they also have boots on the ground in Madagascar for lemur conservation, habitat study and preservation!

I have been watching your travel videos in Madagascar with my 8-year-old daughter, and we were sad to see them end. It’s unfortunate you got sick, but such is life in Madagascar! Nonetheless, it amazes me how brave you are, trying all sorts of street foods. I’m originally from Morondava, and all my family is there, but I grew up on the eastern side and went to school in Fianarantsoa, near where you stayed. My daughter thinks you gave me a bit of the travel bug; I am now in the process of getting an adventure bike to explore the east coast where I grew up. I’m not an advanced rider, so we’ll see how it goes. If you ever come back, consider visiting the east side; I'm not in the country for now but my team and I would be more than happy to provide logistical support and guidance. Thank you for sharing your fantastic journey! P.S. The town you passed through with the pulled rickshaws is Ambositra, known as the woodcraft and art capital of Madagascar. There’s a beautiful off-road ride to Zafimaniry, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Considering all the circumstances on this day - still not fully recovered from food poisoning, thus driving hungry without eating anything for 8 hours, possibly bad weather, road and traffic ahead but still plan to catch the airplane in the evening... would be too stressful for me. But then there is Noraly, our true adventurer who is just doing it with a smile on her face, against all odds. Wow.

Embarking on a journey with Noraly, is nothing short of exhilarating. With each episode, she takes viewers on a thrilling ride across continents, weaving through diverse landscapes, and immersing herself in rich cultures. Itchy Boots isn't just an adventurous travel channel; it's a passport to exploration, discovery, and genuine human connection. What sets Itchy Boots apart is Noraly herself and her commitment to presenting an unbiased view of Africa. In a world where stereotypes and misconceptions often cloud our perceptions, Itchy Boots offers a refreshingly authentic portrayal of the continent and its people. Her genuine curiosity, infectious enthusiasm, and unwavering determination make her the ultimate adventure traveller. She fearlessly dives into the unknown, forging connections with people from all walks of life and sharing their stories with grace and empathy. One of the standout features of Itchy Boots is its exceptional use of traditional African music. As Noraly traverses the rugged terrain of Africa, the soundtrack effortlessly transports viewers into the heart of the continent. The rhythmic beats and soulful melodies add depth to the visuals, enhancing the overall experience and providing a cultural immersion that is both authentic and captivating. Moreover, the drone shots featured in Itchy Boots are nothing short of breath-taking. From sweeping vistas of sprawling savannas to aerial views of winding mountain roads, these shots offer a bird's-eye perspective that truly showcases the beauty of the rural areas Noraly explores. They provide a sense of scale, allowing viewers to appreciate the vastness and diversity of the landscapes she encounters. But perhaps what keeps me most entertained are the scenes that keep me on the edge of my seat. Noraly's adventurous spirit knows no bounds as she navigates challenging terrains, encounters unexpected obstacles, and embraces the unpredictability of life on the road. Whether she's traversing muddy trails in Liberia or crossing rivers on makeshift ferries, every moment is filled with excitement and anticipation, leaving me eagerly awaiting the next adventure. Keep up the good work.

I severely injured my left knee Aug 1,2023. I found your channel while I was stuck elevating my leg 20 hours a day for 6 months after surgery. Now I have been off the crutches and I found you when I was buying my New 22 Royale Enfield Himalayan. I love it and now understand how good a rider you really are. I found out Wednesday that I can no longer work with the damage in my leg. I still go to physical therapy 3 days a week and in the gym every day. I now want to do some long distance traveling this summer and love how you handle traveling. Good poisoning, flat tires( I got one two weeks ago and you inspired me to fix it on the side of the road with my spare tube I got because of watching you, so thank you) and always look forward to Wednesday and Sunday video's. My girlfriend now watches you because of just how wonderful the places you go traveling. Thank you for taking all of us on your journey. Since I live in South Carolina USA, I will be exploring my part of the world. So many historical places to see

Thanks to François, Didier and all Crew for this amazing trip in Madagascar. It was a eye opener in so many levels. I knew i would be able to see the lemurs and iconic baobab trees. But the highlight for me was the gorgeous and pristine coastline with turquoise waters almost untouched. The fisherman's boat adventure was the cherry on top of the Madagascar cake. And I felt like that was still something left behind and so much to discover in this huge island almost unknown by massive tourism. And finally when you said you had some poisoning food related problem i was like: Finally one. I thought - like we say in my country - she had an ostrich stomach.😂 The superwoman is still a normal human like us. Well, a little bit upwards. Let me put that way...😂 Thanks Noraly. 🎉

Loved the Madagascar series thoroughly and if Noraly ranked it one of the top 5 of her adventures it mustve been really enjoyable for her. Enjoying it on screen from the comfort of our homes is a different story altogether but riding is tough. Her passion for riding bikes makes her enjoy it every bit wherever she goes. She would rather wear her riding gear on a flight than risk losing it with the luggage , this speaks volumes about her cool attitude and preferences. Another important aspect of riding like she does, from country to country , is health issues. Too bad she got sick in Madagascar but such a possibility always exists. Wish you well on all your future rides Noraly .....Godspeed !!!!

Instead of the modern rule of travel of time vs money Madagascar will be remembered by its own rule of good road vs rain. This is whole new perspective which leads to improve the patience. Thanks Noraly for very well narrated the new side of travelling.

Rack rack rackity rack.... lol, she's so awesome. One of the most incredible women I have the pleasure of following her travels. As soon as I see her posting, I stop watching whatever I'm watching to see her new adventure for the day. Her laughter is also very contagious lol because she literally laughs at every blunder that she encounters. I can also see nothing negative on her channel, which is fantastic this day and age, it seems. Lots of love from Canada Noraly 🇨🇦 ❤️ 💯👍

Incredible stamina and strength Noraly to ride all day on an empty stomach....and most amazing after an total energy draining illness. Thank you so much for the education of Madagascar through your narratives and absolute masterpiece cinematography. I knew nothing about Madagascar before you arrived there. To be in your top 5 or 3 favorite countries out of all the places you've been is a strong testament coming from you. Once again we see looking at a "main road" on map in Africa is no indication of condition! Thank You Always for sharing with us. Peace! ❤❤❤

Oh Noraly totally agree with you on health commentary. In every community there are those who “enjoy poor health “ because they regale all around them with their issues like we “need to know”. People ask me “How are you”? I always say fine! Because if I’m not I’m way better than the days I had malaria. Everyday is a blessing and all those I’ve known who have died would all expect me to be grateful to be Alive! Besides like all others I have Noraly as well! Loving your ‘work’ so much, very grateful I found you when I did...thankyou thankyou.

In closing this episode Noraly, I have to say, you look GREAT for being recently ill. I have all throughout the seasons wondered, eating street food 😳and NOT getting ill😵‍💫. That mystery has now been solved. I have to believe that riding in pothole strewn roads AND in the rain all the while not feeling the best, had to make the 400+K ride even more difficult! You are a BEAST! I'm glad you are safe. Here's reuniting with Alaska and "let's go"👍👍. Bob in Nevada

Hi Noraly! Even Though you were not able to spend some sight seeing at Madagascar's capital before flying out, still this is like adventure into several countries. You were able to cover mud, sand, desert-like, mountains, greens, dry, rains, heaps of Baobabs, wild animals, being the first tourist on a remote village, a "bonus" luxury beach side villa with fine, sugar white sand and dive into one of the most crystal clear sea with a very stunning sunset.. and of course the warmth and hospitality of the people of Madagascar! Wow! AMAZING! Hope in the future you'll visit Madagascar and take us along with you again thru ItchyBoots! Hope you are feeling a lot better now. Excited to see Alaska too

Honestly, I don't know how Noraly does it. Back in my youth I did a few of these all day rides but on clean highways with hardly a pothole to navigate on a smooth riding road-bike. This is far beyond next level this is at the outermost extreme of difficult motorcycle riding and on top of it not feeling well. Not sure what category Noraly falls into but I would love to see if even veteran Navy Seals could do what noraly does almost everyday and I'm not even including the navigating, finding Internet, crossing borders and editing these wonderful videos. Well done Noraly !!!

I believe you're an awesome person on your channel there is no super thanks or super shout out where I can donate a few dollars and can't even join is what it shows me on KZbin otherwise I'd throw you a few dollars just so you know. I actually look forward to your videos because you give an Outlook and perspective on some place that I'm never going to end up being in my life and I appreciate it.
