What's next for Apex Legends? I figured i'd make a video to talk about the 3 things i'd add to Improve Apex in New Updates and change the game for the better! I think that the problem with games now especially AAA titles is that they are profit based. They want you to keep playing but at the same time they want you to keep buying things and this can make thing’s dry most of the time. And games devs shouldn’t be scared to take inspiration from other games and look back on older titles and see what made them good then build from there. But we all know as long as they keep making a profit off of this format then there will never be a change sadly.

I think that they sorta need easier challenges and legend specific challenges that would make people play a more diverse playset, and would drive the game up in overall players. The weapon mastery system has been harshing my buzz. I've been trying to complete the second trial on my flatline for months now, I would really like the tracker but I'm simply not good enough to get it, I've spent so much time trying with absolutely 0 progress that it's made me quite sad with it lingering in the back of my mind. What was supposed to be fun is now stressful, I with it was more like titanfall when it came to unlocking things, especially skins. I really love your ideas and enjoyed this different style of video, keep up the good work Ashton!

Ash you’re incredibly right in so many aspects. Lowkey I also think that Respawn should look at what the devs for THE FINALS have been doing. In just a month, they did so many good changes that Apex hasn’t seen in YEARS. That, and lowkey I’d support a whole engine upgrade. Audio, among other things(cough cough the stuttering), is a huge problem, and things like this are beyond the game.

I have just been coming back to apex after many years, ive been playing for around three weeks. I have really been enjoying the game however ive found that people who use controls are able to kill me signifcantly faster with an smg than any player on keyboard and mouse player. I think the change to evo shields made the game more enjoyable. I think an a problem the game has is apex packs feel so uselss. I know im not going to get anything from them when opening them, it feels unrewarding to even have them. I really like your opinion on the challenge system.

got 1k hours in the game and reached Masters in 3 seasons. But lately ive not played ranked or pubs but only mixtape mode i like COD aswell with fast respawns, and with BR meeting insane players with my bronze teammates it get to frustrating.

Nah you said it my man. I'm still not out of bronze rank, and I've sunk a minimum of 15 hours into ranked. Normally, that is enough for me to hit gold, but since every single game I have, my teammates are genuine bronze/rookie level, and I'm fighting diamond skilled 3-stacks...? I'm just making tiny increments of points now and it's taking so long so far that I'm not even bothering to aim for a high rank this season. When your score is worth more than both your teammates combined and your squad places #7th, you just know you could've won the game if you weren't the 2-legged backpack. Now imagine that this is happening to you EVERY SINGLE GAME, you crunch the numbers and sure enough, you did more work than BOTH teammates combined. That SHOULD make you feel good, but for some reason, it's a sour feeling. I want to be able to rely on at least ONE teammate in at least ONE situation.

I think it would be cool if they added animated camos like in cod and keep the weapon challenge system but make the changes easier and maybe every 25 levels you get a camo. And the final camo would be an apex pred camo.but that’s just something I think would be cool.

I think there should be challenges and levels for specific legends. Based on kills, wins, assists, tacticals, passives, supers, skins, finishers. That would get people to play more. Kinda like the weapon challenges.

I would like to read about rank if they reply cause I don't play it like that. With the mixtape they should change them to be there own tab cause like Ashton said I'm not trying to wait for near an hour to play a game mode. Also, I'm not too sure about other people since I get mixed reviews but I would like to see arenas come back but not in mixtape cause then I'm waiting an hour so no mixtape. tbh i think they really need to start working on mechanics and weapons, although we’ve had the nemesis recently it felt incredibly refreshing to have the buster sword and a whole new gameplay style. I also think adding more maps to switch up gameplay and get rid of the rotation of three every hours would be affective to refresh the game.

about ranked : i know its the ranks they've been sometime but not now, but getting ex masters whatever you name it in idk.. lets say silver is terrible, like : give me real players on that rank, so i can rampage over them and reach the rank i deserve, like how are you gonna rank up if youre fighting against players on your SKILL level , instead of your ranked level?? My opinion is the apex community loves to complain and this season wasn’t as bad as people were making it out to be. It wasn’t a season three by any means, but it wasn’t that bad. Also the narrative that“apex is dying” has been around for so long and hasn’t come to life, so I highly doubt that it will now. The player count is always down around Christmas time and comes back up around February (apex anniversary). So y’all gotta stop complaining so hard, but they also need to fix some problems with the game (ranked, sbmm etc) 🙂

I still haven’t got a 4K or 20. 🤦‍♂️ my highest is 3953. I definitely still care about them lol but the sbmm is way too strong for me to ever get one it seems. So that definitely kills my mood to play the game. And LTM modes where you can’t even earn the badges don’t interest me in the slightest. If there was some sweaty badges to earn in three strikes or LTM’s I’d be far more likely to play them for sure though. I also highly doubt queue times would be as bad if the sbmm or EOMM wasn’t as cranked as it currently is.

Maintaining enough skill to actually enjoy the game in its current state is a full time job. Eomm and mmr are literally designed to prey on your psyche. Updates and fixes dont come until the following season… and yet i still try to enjoy the game but i just cant. Ill watch scrims and comp but i lve got no itch to get on.

Queue time is not that big of a problem for multiple modes, if you look at a game like halo infinite, they have a lot less players and over 20 game modes with 2 minute queue times max

don't forget the fact that skill-based matchmaking is almost nonexistent. it really makes new players way too frustrated with the game and stop playing entirely. like for example when while i was playing control, (at the time i was level 30) I had 2 preds in my lobby that were just sweeping through everything and everyone, i remember my team lost 99%-6% and were being spawn camped. another example lately I have been seeing a lot of new bloodhounds and Gibby's that are no more than level 13 and every single game that I have played the champion has been a lvl 200+

Yeah I stopped after placement matches this ranked split when I was run down by effect and two of the aurora boys. As a solo q player there is no winning that. One of my teammates in the game before didn't know there was a healing wheel and was using the inventory to heal. On that note solo Q only ranked lobbies need to exist. Though if I'm being completely honest I don't think the game is going to succeed in the manner it used to until the predatory pricing is addressed in some way. It's simply gone too far. Especially considering how little is done to address core issues such as 20hz servers, audio, matchmaking, in game progression, stale overstayed metas and the increasingly rampant cheating.

I’m a former apex GRINDER and a PG. I have hundreds of days played. My problem with apex is sbmm - I took a 5 month break from the game and every single match I’m in is absolutely filled with people who are simply better than I am. I used to be able to compete with people like that, but now I lose the vast majority of 1 v 1s. I’m not competitive, and it’s incredibly frustrating and unenjoyable to just lose every fight, making me not want continue playing. In short, help us trash players please.

I stopped caring about the game when they did Revenant Reborn. He went from my main before to hardly being used now purely because I don't like the changes made to him. This sucks because of the amount of time I spent on him, the materials I used to unlock finishers and skins, as well as using my heirloom shards on him. It feels like Respawn should've given people with his heirloom free shards considering they essentially deleted the character, and I'm sure that I'm not the only ex main who potentially feels this way, because as of now my only heirloom is tied to a character I no longer like playing.
