Also keep in mind, AMD might have something up their sleeve soon as in 1 to 6 months from now. As they're Nvidia's direct competitor, they won't be far behind to hit back with something. Don't sleep on Arc either. Who knows what the future will hold.

maybe but gpus after this are all going to want you to use dlss/fsr. Now every GPU gen it'll be more about the super sampling vs how much spec wise a GPU is better. If we include dlss 4 which they are pushing for then you get more frames with dlss. Dlss4 is said to make up 3 frames instead of 1 with dlss 3 so you'll get like double the fps when using dlss 3 to 4, native 4k and having high rasterization is dying out for ai and super smapling.

I will just wait for all the dust to settle and see real world results of the card. I am still very happy with my 4090. It really makes my games shine in 4k. I don't even bother with frame gen on any of the games because I see a degradation in quality. I am content with 80-110 FPS in most games. I don't need to turn on DLSS for 30-40FPS extra. They really need to fix the games that are out there to run better with the current GPUs Nothing is optimized .

TBH with those 12V power caps and the current estimated power draw of the 5090 being 575W, it seems like a fire waiting to happen. Might actually skip the card just based on that one issue all together. the 12V power spec is FUBAR and I expect alot of trouble from the release of the card.

Hmmmmm double flow through, might be a noisy card. I remember with my 3090 FE I could run the blower near the IO around 85% fan speed almost silently but the flow through at the butt of the card was super loud above 35-45%.

Looks like they went with the enterprise approach for the board. Lookup sxm4 gpu like h100. Similar form factor. Allows them to have the pass through cooler on front and back of gpu chip. Smart design! And of course the fins run vertical so won’t cool nice in server style case. 🤦‍♂️ I’ll be doing what I can for a handful of 5090. If I can snag ya one once I’m filled I’ll def do that. I’m sure it’ll be one card limit per customer per visit. I have a microcenter in Stl Louis. BB in Edwardsville and Springfield. All within 50 miles.

Reality check....the consumer is broke so there isn't the same amount of interest in GPU's as with the 30 series (and the 10 series) and also there isn't the ETH pump(aka 1 major GPU minable project out there..which I argue is a good thing for the industry)....also NVIDA doesn't give a crap about Gamers when they have shit loads of pre-sales for A.I. Mining farms....so this will be a paper launch like the 30 series at best(without the major demand) so if there is scalpers this time it will be nowhere near as lucrative as the 30/10 series launches

Because the 5070 isn't as good as Nvidia is claiming since Nvidia considers fake garbled frames to be performance when it is not. They compare the 5070 to the 4090 only because for every frame rendered, the 50 series can generate 3 while the 40 series can only generate 1.
