Love your videos I totally got it and love both meanings of your name VanIty Bitty Your van is the perfect size and what I’m aiming for when I finally get my camper van. I’m learning a lot from your “build out” and looking forward to seeing you take her out on adventures. I personally would put the AC window behind the driver seat above your fridge. That makes the most sense to me. Love the idea of your kitchen being by the slider so you can have the door open and look out at views and have some air flow while you cook
@VanityBitty2 ай бұрын
@@suzitaz6610 That was a plus for putting the kitchen near the slider and I actually still could even if Mark3 goes in the back. I noticed my fridge gets hot by the slider when the sun is beating in the door, and i dont want my power bank to be sun baked either. So it’s a thought! That’s what is good about a no build, i can rearrange at will! ☺️. Thank you and good luck! 😊

My next upgrade will be 2 back windows that open. I have rain guards on my front door windows & made screens for them with mother earth magnets & house window screens that keep out no seeums, because the ready made screens are flimsy & do not let in air very well. I do not have a max air fan, but I would install a vent, non electric, if i was full time. Fans work fine for me with the front windows screens right now. If i had back window screens I could get better air flow, but the thing is i dont camp in hot weather, or when in Florida I'm pretty close to the coast & it's breezes. I have a small toaster size heater if it's too cold & a big jackery with folding solar. I do have a floor a/c in my 16' cargo trailer conversion, but definitely will not use any valuable space for one in my van. Again I'm part time & work around the heat or take the trailer or stay home.
@VanityBitty2 ай бұрын
@@georgiacorey954 that’s one thing I need to do is get the rain guards for the front windows. What I love about the windows I’m buying is they have pull down screens and pull up shades. It remains to be seen if the screen allows no seeums in! I forgot about those! ☺️
@deeplansandbudgets2 ай бұрын
From what I understand with the Zero Breeze is it does not cool down the Van, you just blow it on you and it cools you down. So perhaps the exhaust Window needs to be close to the bed so you can blow the Zero Breeze on you when you sleep? So perhaps make an additional shelf.
@VanityBitty2 ай бұрын
@@deeplansandbudgets Yes, right, that was the issue with the current one. But the new one set to come out in October, the Mark 3, is supposed to be much improved and cover an area 100sq ft to 150 sq ft, along with some really good new modes and other improvements. That’s the one I ordered and I have my fingers crossed it’s as described and reviewed! Thank you! ☺️
@jazziered1422 ай бұрын
I think if I had a stove, I would try to get the fan above that, and put the AC on the opposite end. So you have circulation.
@VanityBitty2 ай бұрын
@@jazziered142 good point on fan placement because if window was on the side, maxx air would be in the back to be able to pull air thru van, but then fan would be not above kitchen. Very good catch! ☺️

I know you’re buying the Mark three air conditioner but I think the EcoFlow wave two is the best option
@VanityBitty2 ай бұрын
@@dennismcreynolds9243 I wanted the zero breeze first, but the Mark 2 gets such bad reviews that for awhile there, I thought I’d go with the Wave 2. But it’s proprietary with their own power bank, the Delta 2 or bigger. I have a Bluetti. Yes Im getting 2 batteries but I want to be able to use the power bank when those are empty, and 110 sucks down the power too fast. Plus it’s a lot bigger. I weighed everything out with the improvements with the Mark 3, and made the decision. But you’re not wrong, I think Wave 2 is a good system.
@revyred86792 ай бұрын
You need to do more research on the wave2 because if you get 2 batteries that's alot of power & are you sure you can't use you bluetti to charge the batteries? What size is your bluetti? I'm not understanding why you can't use your bluetti if it's just a plugin for the wave2. Hope that sounds right.

@@cherylniemi553 Oh Cheryl LOL. I’ve kinda been going over that for WEEKS. I’d kill for a mini-split. I was crushed when I figured out I can’t really run one. I can’t justify the cost of the electrical system it would take. This is just a camper van for short excursions, not full time vanlife. All I have is a big bluetti so I can’t run a. Mini split without also buying a battery bank, charge controller, fuse bar, dc to dc charger, solar panels, roof rack, and several other electrical comments AND pay someone to install all that and the mini split. The cost is staggering. I tried and tried but in the end, I just can’t do it. You’re definitely not wrong, it’s the way to go but I don’t have any of that stuff.

Have a question to ask you why didn’t you insulate your van before you started to build the inside of your van? Because insulating your van will help you in the summertime with your air condition. Or in the winter time with your heat insulation is very important.
@VanityBitty2 ай бұрын
@@dennismcreynolds9243 I just haven’t gotten to it yet. You may not be able to tell if you haven’t watched previous videos, but everything comes out really easy. It’s a no-build build. Even the bed slides right out and is light weight. I haven’t decided on what I’m doing for insulation or even walls yet and weather has not permitted any work out in the van. So I worked on other things. I can do any order I want, cause no-build. Whatever solution I come up with for insulation cant be something that won’t come right back out, so I’m brainstorming. But yeah, it’s just a camper, I don’t live or even sleep in it yet because im in the middle of getting it battle ready. Thanks for watching! ☺️

Why don't you flip your bed direction, so your feet are on the driver's side. Then put the window on the rear driver's side of the van.
@VanityBitty2 ай бұрын
@@pamdanko1078 That’s not a bad idea but my whole van design revolves around the e-trike being loaded fully assembled there in the back behind the bed. My bed utilizes the wheel well boxes for part of the base, and the wall mount table provides the incline I need to sleep with head elevated for medical reasons. The design is perfect for my needs. I’ve decided on the two back windows and will figure out a way to have an elevated platform for the AC unit to vent out the one. It’s a big puzzle ☺️

Sorry, since the van in the back should be the same on both sides, I thought flipping everything to point the other direction would be cheaper then buying an extra window. Looking forward to seeing the rest of the build.
