Everything is very nice, your thoughts are also nice, but I have to tell you something, if you had made the filter in a separate drum on top of the tank you stored it in, it would have been much easier to wash the filter when it got dirty. 1. sponge. 2nd stone. 3. If possible, use a pumice stone. . You can add 4 coals (to clarify the water) and the resulting water to the water tank as it is completely clear and clean. You can look at outboard aquarium filters as an example. But your idea is great. greetings from Turkey.

@jasonhorrocks13367 ай бұрын
Creative and mostly effective. For me, I'd buy the filters so that they can be serviced. Granular activated carbon needs to be changed once in a while. Also, for drinking purposes, you should be doing a bit more than that with the filtration process. This system might not cost much more to do it right when you add the trips to the hospital and the extra toilet paper needed for all that diarrhea you're going to catch.
@HolicCreation7 ай бұрын
Thank you very much. My drinking the water was just to prove to everyone that it is clean. Of course, people will use additional methods to make the water even cleaner, such as using bacterial filters, UV light sterilizers, or boiling the water before use. To me, this system is quite convenient for many places around the world that lack water and don't have the budget for expensive water filtration projects. Have a great day, and please continue to provide me with advice in my upcoming videos.

I’ve drunk unfiltered water tank water for 7yrs haven’t been sick once. Water is naturally filtered through the gravels, that’s what spring water does.
@jasonhorrocks13367 ай бұрын
@Sweetlyfe I used to work in the water industry. It depends on what your tank water has been exposed to. If you keep it free from soils then you won't have bacteria. If you add in bird poop on the roof that the water runs over you can have some nasty bacteria you can get sick from. If God forbid a dead animal gets in the tank he put no lid on then you can really get someone very sick. That's why I don't think drinking this water is good. But there are filtration systems you can add that can for sure make it safe to drink in all cases. This just isn't robust enough. Though it is very creative and interesting to see it done. He probably lives in a deprived area and needs to solve the problem in this way. I don't knock it.

@HolicCreation7 ай бұрын
Thank you for watching the video. The type of stone in the large tank, which is blue, is fine gravel (about the size of a thumb) used for coarse filtering of water from the roof. The water then flows from the large tank to the dual filter beside it, following the blue arrows as noted in the video. Inside the dual filter are alternating layers of fine sand, activated carbon, and small gravel to ensure the highest quality of filtered water. Enjoy the video!

In areas like central Florida where the underground water supply lines in cities are still hollow wood, this seems like an alternative. Thank you. Here, they just keep adding chemicals like bleach to the water supply and flushing the lines.

With the city wastewater system, we should have a greater solution to clean it! In my video, it is only a rainwater harvesting and primary filtration system, it cannot be used for domestic wastewater! Are you having trouble with domestic wastewater?

@HolicCreation7 ай бұрын

That could only help in monsoons. What about rest of the seasons ? How will the water fill the tank ?
@HolicCreation6 ай бұрын
Great question! During the monsoon season, rainwater harvesting can indeed be very effective. For the rest of the year, it’s important to have alternative water sources such as groundwater, municipal supply, or other sustainable methods. Proper planning and storage can help ensure a consistent water supply throughout the year. Thanks for your ask!

@@HolicCreation PERDONE SI SONÉ GROSERA, IRRESPETUOSA Y MAL EDUCADA, NO FUÈ MI INTENCIÓN, SOLO PUSE LO QUE PENSÉ Y SENTÍ. PENSÉ ENCONTRAR UN VERDADERO MÉTODO SEGURO PARA PODER CONSUMIR EL AGUA DE LLUVIA. YO VIVO EN ZONA RURAL Y EL AGUA ES ESCASA Y UN TANTO CARA Y LA VENDEN POR TANQUES DE UN CARRO REPARTIDOR Y LA MEJOR FORMA QUE HE ENCONTRADO PARA PODER BEBERLA ES COLARLA EN UN LIENZO PRIMERAMENTE Y LUEGO HERVIRLA PERO ES TAN TEDIOSO Y COSTOSO PORQUE DEBO USAR GAS PARA HERVIRLA. Good for mountain regions , for they usually get rain Airways, and they lack drinking water
@HolicCreation7 ай бұрын
Thank you very much. A rainwater harvesting system is quite necessary for water-scarce areas. To ensure safety, we should use a bacterial filter or boil the water before using it. Do you use PVC pipes and collect rainwater like in this video where you live?

what about a lot of snow in winter?
@HolicCreation6 ай бұрын
Great question! In areas with heavy snowfall, it's important to ensure that your system is well-insulated and protected from freezing temperatures. You might need to consider additional measures like using heat tape or insulating materials. Have you faced any specific challenges with your system during winter? I'd love to hear more about your experience!

How long before you need to change the sand/rocks and clean everything inside?
@HolicCreation7 ай бұрын
If you live in a tropical country during the rainy season, you can clean the filter tank by closing the white valve and opening the red valve, then reverse the water flow to flush debris through the metal valve between the two filters. If you have any questions about this filtration system, please let me know. How is the weather where you live?

@HolicCreation6 ай бұрын
