Being born in 92, I live in America, and I came across this kid through randomly watching Gene Simmon's show, and INSTANTLY fell in love with this kid and his personality. I've recently came out as gay, and battled with it growing up, but I always had a huge crush on this boy, and I always hid it but kept it alive by "jokingly" showing people in my high school his music. I ended up being the reason a huge portion of my school knew about this random kid. I hadn't kept up with him after his first album, but in a way, this boy was one of steps that got me to realize my orientation and helped me finally be happy and free. I know I never knew him, but as far as celebrity crushes go, he was the biggest and pretty much only one I've had. And I just learned he died, which was bad, but to learn it was suicide. I don't know how to feel about that. I feel kind of empty, and I know it's silly to feel empty over someone I don't know dying, but I do. He was a portion of growing up. It makes me question my own strength, my own mortality. Makes me question the value people actually have in other's lives and don't even know it. He never noticed. You never noticed. I never noticed. His suicide has impacted me in a way that I wish it didn't have to. His death feels like he took with it a part of my childhood, a part of who I am. I don't know if that's being extreme or dramatic. But that's how it feels. I won't cry over it, but it will be on my mind for a while. People, be aware of the value you have in people's lives... even someone you may not even notice.
