Eh, to be fair, Kahaku does seem to truly care for Fushi, thanks to his ancestry and reincarnation. I never trusted the Nokker in his arm. It was gathering intelligence while using Kahaku as a spy. I'm just waiting and waiting for the reunion with March and Fushi.

Yh the nokker was just waiting for both kahaku and fushi to get mentally weak. Plus kahaku didn't seems to want the nokker in him anymore after the church arc. The nokker was just using him and making everyone not trust him, and it didn't help that he started to breakdown during the last episode.

Yeah, people don't get him, poor guy. xD Of course Hayase isn't a good thing. But Kahaku isn't Hayase, we alredy seen that, it isn't black and white. And again, that last part, clearly it wasn't Kahaku's fault, he literally was surprised about it as anybody else.

There was a moment of realization in the manga for me when Kohaku came down stairs. That was a comment saying, his left arm did it, but the knife was in the right arm. So even if his arm fought, he himself fought just as hard.

What a quality cliffhanger. I loved the animation turn up on this scene. I remember reading this in the manga and Kahuku just walking down stairs apologizing to Fushi while COVERED in their blood is hilarious.

I agree 100% that animation was so PERFECT! It was a legitimate cliffhanger I mean we get that kind of scene and it just goes off you gotta be kidding! 🫣

Kahaku is also a victim in the nokker situation. He would rather kill himself than hurt Fushi. Nokker simply used Kahaku in the dirtiest possible way, destroying his dearest creature with it.

Absolutely diabolical the s2 ep17 ending scene I was terrified just as when the first evolved nokker killed fushi and took the bear, the fact that they hanged around a nokker was also very distressing it was a ticking time bomb they should have agreed to vehemently disagree

Right!! I mean that Nokker knew the entire plan and played everyone like a fiddle it struck right after it just got rid of Kai and everyone else it reall y played the long game Fushi should’ve got rid of it when it was in the little girl in the beginning.

Yeah this episode was dark and I really thought Fushi was going to get that sincerity and a well needed break at the end too man! Let me ask you did this make To Your Eternity your favorite anime of the season

Facts! He’s wearing himself out he’s doing literally everything and not catching a break I guess that technically the best time to attack someone when they’re mentally drained. It definitely made it a contender for sure.

Right!? Man.. the writing is great. I'm so conflicted about different characters. I wonder because sometimes kohaku is reliable and caring, but there are instances when he's A LOT like Hayase. I wonder if Hayase possesses or influences him during certain moments. Like she's in his body and sometimes her urges overpower everything. I just don't want kohaku to be a purely psycho bad guy

In the anime, it looks too much like a kiss, but in the original manga, Kahaku simply put his hand on his cheek. So there was no "sexual use" there

Definitely took some liberties to make the scene more tense and violent. What could be more intrusive then violating the souls and memories that you care about within? It was definitely an assault.
