Contest Rules & Timeline:
An overall winner will be picked based on the "best" knife presented by the viewers as deemed by the judging channels. There will also be a "novice winner." The novice submissions must come from makers with less than one year of experience and by makers without a 2x72 belt grinder (please include in your email why you should be judged in the novice category - we will take this on a case by case basis). The second build videos by the judges will be posted on the 18th of November and the pictures are due by the 27th of November. Winners will be announced on the 30th of November.

I’m interested in the bit you used for scale flattening. Looking through Grizzly’s bit selection, the closest I’m finding that I think might work is the Southeast Tool T30940 - 2" Carbide Tipped Spoilboard Cutter or the Grizzly H2960 - Dovetail Cutter 1-7/8" x 60. Do you recall the style name for what you have? The face bits were considerably more than what you mentioned, so I ruled them out just on price.

I’d love a video talking about the video equipment/cameras/lights used, as well as what editing software is used. I just ordered the Sony A7Siii to use along with a couple GoPros in shooting my forging journey from the very beginning, including making my first knife.

What was the colorful stuff the handle was made of? Is it colored epoxy? Stabilized wood? Plastic shavings heated and compressed together?
