I remember seeing a phone like this come into our shop a while back. The guy dropped it and wanted to see if we could fix the screen and we told him that it was a bootleg phone and we couldn't get parts. He said he wasn't surprised and went out to buy a real phone. Funny story now, but we felt bad for the guy who fell for some nonsense.

As requested I messaged the seller a link to the video. Unfortunately China blocks access to KZbin so I had to summarise the video and attach images instead. He responded as follows: *Seller* "Hello, is this our accessory? Please don't disassemble the phone casually. Our memory is 8 256GB" *Me* "Yes this phone is from your store. Don't worry disassembly was done professionally and shared with a few hundred thousand people online. As such people are now aware of this scam. The specs of this phone are a lie and misleading to consumers. Shame you cannot visit the link and watch the video. I think you would hate it." *Seller* Hello, we did not cheat, we also raised our doubts *Me* Please elaborate on what you mean by doubts. *Seller* The mobile phone parts you removed. *Me* What about them? Are you aware the real specs of the phone are not what you listed? *Seller* Hello, our mobile phone is exactly what is described on the page. With no admission of guilt from the seller I went about getting my money back. AliExpress wouldn't allow me to open a case against the seller as it had been more than 15 days. So opened a PayPal case and got all my money back excluding return shipping which was about $20. The sellers page has since been removed

i found a refurbished iPhone SE (2nd generation) on walmart, that was locked to a carrier for about $150. although i wasn't the one to order it, it actually came with what it was advertised, even was in almost perfect condition beside a cosmetic scratch on the back glass. although i don't know how well you could trust that with walmart. it was a great deal for me at least, cause i wanted to get a new phone.

That sounds about right for a 2nd gen SE. Mainly because the MVNOs subsidized the s**t out of that phone. Just sold mine (unlocked) for $175 on craigslist. Got mine on launch for $184 with 2 month contract($25x2), which means I paid like 10 bucks in total to use that phone for 2 years, 60 if you include those contract payment.

@@hepotiricly The moment you advertize something but sell something entirely different, is where it becomes a scam. Even if it cost 20 bucks, it still is a scam, because you are advertizing selling a legit phone. Either way, people that fall for this forget the ´´ too good to be true ´´rule, but that does not make these kinda practices not a scam.
